About your previously question about THE DEEP, as you saw Jim faced there a evil version of himself which looked and sounded similar to his troll form which now he has. That is because his greatest fear is to lose his humanity, as you saw that he was struggling in episode 11 about that big change. So Jim had to overcome that psychological fear back in the THE DEEP in order to escape from there.
