Some bad news, folks...
Added 2020-08-13 22:01:37 +0000 UTCI was really trying hard to avoid this problem two weeks in a row, but there will still not be the third page of the Bela Novak comic posted on Friday. I've been trying to make sure that there was always a buffer of new pages and extra time for artists who had something come up so that things did not get delayed like this, but the Bela Novak project was finalized so close to publication that we were always teetering on the edge. Now with the fact that the page still won't be ready after two full weeks of waiting, I have decided to delay the project indefinitely until there are enough pages completed to start posting it again.
In the mean time, Carlos Eduardo Cunha is stepping up to the plate again. Even though he is doing the Mary Stewart comic this time around, and he is already working on the After Dark comic, he is going to be doing a third comic for this project this round.
This is a comic about a character that was going to be teased in Easter eggs in the Mary Stewart and Bela Novak comics this time around, but not actually shown until this comic was set to start. Now this comic is going to become the Friday comic for the $5/mo. tier as a black-and-white comic, and color for the $20/mo. tier, just like Bela Novak was.
Since things were finalized this afternoon, there's a good chance that the page will not be submitted until Friday morning. I will still need to setup the text, sound effects and credits before posting, so there's a chance that the page may be a bit late, but it will still post on Friday.
I think that this is the best solution to make sure that three regular updates continue to happen and that folks who paid to get a single comic every week aren't getting pin-ups weekly instead.
As the leader of this project, this problem falls squarely on me to blame, and I'm working to fix it so we don't have this issue ever again.
