Added 2021-11-21 05:39:45 +0000 UTCUnfortunately we had to accept the deaths of 4 of our smallest friends in the last three days, including Buddy and Mia, they fell victim to the Parvo virus. It is a dangerous disease and few of the puppies survive this severe infection and die within a few days. They had already received 2 of 4 shots of the vaccination, but unfortunately they died anyway. We immediately cleaned and disinfected the puppy area thoroughly. This is now possible after the conversion. Unfortunately, our quarantine station has not yet been completely renovated and the cleaning of the area is currently inadequate.
Therefore, the risk of infection for the rest of the dogs is very high. Unfortunately, we now lack the money to act faster, to get building materials and to pay more workers.
A drainage channel and a septic tank for the faeces must urgently be built and the remaining area cemented and embedded with an eboxy coating to make cleaning possible. There is an urgent need for new and larger cages with sufficient safety distance from one another. Unfortunately, these are very expensive.
A start has been made and we hope for enough donations to be able to continue working quickly and to be able to cope with these bad situations in the future.
