Hi Allies, Let’s say you have a favorite type of video game, and you want to help someone get into that genre. For example, I love fighting games. I’m a filthy casual with 31 games in my PS4’s Fighting Game folder. Despite my love of Street Fighter, to a new player, I think I would recommend Granblue Fantasy Versus. Especially if they’re looking to just play with a couple of friends or solo, it has fantastic visuals, great music, modern/one-button-special moves (along with the option for traditional quarter circles), a great command list that shows what the move does and when to use it, crazy characters and pre-match dialogue, an arcade mode that allows you to adjust the difficulty between rounds… I just think it’s a great jumping off point for someone who wants to dip their toe into fighting games. Maybe do some cool stuff and learn some basics along the way. As an added bonus, it was a PS+ game last September, so many Playstation owners probably already have it in their library. So, with a 30-60 second time limit for each genre, give the best game to introduce someone to each of the following genres: Open-World Action Adventure: (I would say Spider-Man) JRPG: Metroidvania: FPS: Souls-Like: Open World RPG: Survival Horror: Racing: 2D Platformer: (Yes, Mario, but which Mario game?) RTS: MOBA: Love and Respect, ya’ll. -Eric
