Kingdom Hearts 1 is one of my favourite games, but I’ve never felt the same charm with any of the later titles. I still need to play 2.8 and 3 (forget Re:Coded) but I still can’t help but wonder how the series could have gone if they’d kept the combat closer to that from KH1 and kept the focus a bit more on the Disney side and a little less on the Final Fantasy side

2023-07-21 01:14:09 +0000 UTCSort it out- Games having way too many versions and DLC packages, but also the PS4’s store is just a mess. Anytime I scroll through the sale list, the order of games shown feels completely random with the DLC for a game being pages away from the base game and costume sets for various games being sprinkled around among full fledged titles. I never feel like I’m buying the most complete version of a game without having to triple check.

2023-07-21 01:08:10 +0000 UTCThese are called Prestige skins and it is actually a set of 3 skins plus a finisher. So far 3 Legends had received a Prestige skin. To be fair, by opening those 24 packs you also receive all event’s cosmetic (which usually includes around 9 Legends skins and around 6 weapon skins) and a bunch of non-event cosmetics with a higher chance to get Epic and Legendary items. Also, there are bundles and an opportunity to craft any of 24 event items instead of opening an event pack. So, usually I’m spending around $80 to get it all. On the other hand, if you want to get this skin now (after the event), you will need to open up to 500 regular packs $1 each (if you don’t buy bundles on sales). So, it’s also fair to say that Apex Legends has skins that cost up to $500. I don’t think there are a lot of people who think that a character skin worth that much, even among those who are getting it. Personally, I see this as a reward for being game’s Patron. And before I’ve decided to support the game on that level, I was satisfied with season pass (less than $10), which has a lot of cosmetics and more than enough currency to by next season’s season pass. So, it’s also fair to say that you can spend $10 once, and then get a bunch of items each season for free. To summarize, Apex Legends is a game that justifies both being angry and happy about its monetization. From business perspective, this is probably the best place to be.

2023-07-19 21:14:13 +0000 UTCSort it out - Skin prices. Seriously. I want to give you some money, but I don't want to pay the cost of a good game to buy it. Looking at you Apex and COD with your 18 and 20 dollar skins. I'd happily buy 5 or 6 skins if they were all 4 or 5 dollars, but I can't justify 20. Think of the games I can get for that. I want to give you rip off merchants (EA) some cash as I like your game, but you gotta be reasonable and not only cater to sharks. Apex at some points releases a skin... Where to get it you need to open all 24 event boxes. Each box is about 7 dollars, so you're looking at 168 dollars for a skin. Are you fucking mental. That's 2 full price games with money to spare. Sort it out. Dickheads

2023-07-19 15:20:16 +0000 UTCHello allies. Is “rotation” the most overloaded term in gaming? Besides literal usage to describe spinning movement of camera, your character and other objects, “rotation” also means using abilities in specific order in MMO and moving across the map in battle-royale. Besides that, I heard the word “rotation” being applied for patrolling enemies in stealth games and in the context of limited availability (for example, game modes rotation).

2023-07-18 23:40:14 +0000 UTCViewfinder! I loved the demo. Gave me the same feeling that Superliminal did. My questions are: How long did it take you to finish it? Do you think it kept you engaged the whole way through? Is it worth $25 in your opinion?

2023-07-18 14:24:55 +0000 UTCI loved the Viewfinder demo but couldn't help but think how playing it in VR would be even *more* mindblowing, possibly to the point where it would be uncomfortable for the brain to move through those mind bending changes. Could you see experiences like this one day doing damage to you in real life by breaking the rules of reality?

2023-07-18 08:24:19 +0000 UTCI don’t have a question, just a shout-out to fighting Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts, with bonus points to the Final Mix/HD versions that have an extra cutscene with Cloud fighting him afterwards! Too bad that storyline wasn’t continued in KH3.
