It was said that Hellblade was captured on Series X and Cybyepunk was running on PC with Series X settings. I don't know about other games, but they didn't look impossible for console (although I'm not an expert here). Also, if you want to see how Cyberpunk looks on high-end PC, check this video from Digital Foundry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1K8Br6jHkcs

Hi Allies, Microsoft is bringing back Fable, but it's being made by an entirely new group of people from the original games. I don't think there's any unresolved cliff hangers to address, and each game from the original Fable trilogy saw a different take on the world and played fairly differently from each other. I'm having a bit of trouble seeing what the through line is, and what has fans so excited to see the Fable name again. What would you say are the qualities of a Fable game that the new release must have, and what's the value of bringing this franchise back versus making a new IP? Phil Spencer has mentioned British humor as a tentpole a couple of times, but that's just about the only thing I know to expect at this point.

Hey Allies, A common sentiment when it comes to showcase events is that we want to see "real gameplay," but that can come in different forms. After the Star Wars Outlaws presentation, I'm starting to feel particularly jaded about the raw vertical slice approach. Demos like that are usually so choreographed and polished that they feel so disconnected from an actual player experience. And even if it's the type of game where they are representative, they set up that part of the game as "oh yeah the demo part" whenever I finally play it myself and it feels kinda lame. Of course, different presentation styles work better for different games, so there's no universal best approach, but in general I tend to greatly prefer a more broad approach like Starfield got. It still had enough raw clips to judge the moment-to-moment gameplay, but it focused on explaining all the different mechanics and features without lingering on any single specific slice. That style just feels more transparent, more informative, and often better paced to me. Do you have specific preferences for what you want from "showing gameplay?" L&R

Hey Allies! I was watching the last podcast recently, and during the Love And Respect theme song, I realized that I had no context on Rufus, even though I’ve been listening to the podcast since the Gametrailers days. Could you please explain the Rufus backstory? L&R, Dankey Kang

Hi Allies During the mid 90's we saw games make the transition from 2D to 3D, but what about the other way, can you think of any games that have gone from 3D to 2D. What 3D games/franchises do you think could be successful if they made an entry that was 2D. Keep up the great work and Love and Respect

L&R Question: Do you have a favorite type of protagonist to play as in a video game? With silent protagonists falling out of fashion, and quips becoming an option to disable, I'm curious what playable characters you've enjoyed spending time as, and if there are any blind spots that you'd like to see more of.

Hi Allies What was the very first console or gaming device your family owned when you were young that you can remember, and what was the first console or gaming device you saved up for to buy with your own money. Keep up the great work and Love and Respect Ghost Samurai

Hey Allies, I thought Xbox’s showcase was amazing. Lots of great games shown. I thought to myself “Time to get a series X”. But, then the harsh truth about their showcase hit me. These games will not look like this on a Series X. Since Microsoft launches day and day with PC, it’s safe to assume that most of these games were running on a $3000+ PC. No way cyberpunk will look like that on a console. No way that was in game console footage for Fable. (The games aren’t out yet, so it’s possible they are running on a Series X, but I would bet all my assets, they weren’t. This realization made me appreciate Sony’s showcase more since Sony exclusives were probably all running on ps5 hardware. Do you feel it’s misleading to casual gamers to show the Xbox branding, but show footage from PC builds? Do you think games should say what they are running their footage on? If I wanted my game to look like what I saw, I would have no idea of what to get. L&R

Hey allies! I'm sure y'all are happy to be back doing appointments and getting to meet friends or new people in the industry, face to face. Can you guys share your favorite interactions during SGF if it's not too personal? Y'know, just to help fill the Huber Syndrome E3 special-shaped hole in our hearts. L&R!

Wanted to say that Brad has been doing an excellent job hosting SGF pre and post shows this year.

Hello allies, We're a good chunk into the summer of games now and online receptions are not so good even if I've been enjoying myself. The main complaints being "there were no surprises" and "why isn't 'that' game at the show". Both of these can be attributed to one thing, the river of leaks, which even came in full flow before the Xbox conference. My question is should companies work around these leaks and hold themselves accountable or should the fans be held accountable for their expectations? Love and Respect!
