Several Allies have expressed their love of Arcade games, but it just occurred to me that many people have never beat or completed an arcade game. Have any of the Allie beat an arcade game? Or have an arcade game you would love to finish? _~Drayton

2023-06-07 22:08:31 +0000 UTCI gotta say, dude, and if you don’t mind mesharing my opinion…. I actually think a battle pass is a really great idea for a fighting game. I mean think about it you’re playing a fighting game to grind anyway, that’s kind of the point. you’re trying to get better, little bit by little bit, so you can eventually break through the ceiling of your own skill level and get to the next level of opponents. That’s the struggle, that’s the grind, that’s the journey. So wouldn’t it be cool if you can invest in a battle pass and unlock stuff as you’re grinding away? Also, as far as a single player mode concerns in getting these extra costumes, I think it’s kind of cool the devs left the option to unlock them for free, especially in a fun way by doing stuff in the single player mode so you can do things that bring you closer to these classic legendary characters. Sure it’s a little grind it, but so is the whole single player world tour mode… again I think it’s all meant to emphasize the point of a long-term RPG beat them up , in a nutshell aka yakuza… and in the end I think it’s all meant to be just plain fun. The truth is Capcom generally regularly charges for these costumes or any extra costumes. So it’s nice for this first wave they gave the player a way to unlock the costumes them for free. Alright take care buddy, L&R

2023-06-07 19:36:31 +0000 UTCEA / Respawn SORT IT OUT!!!! Hello Allies! I'm really loving Jedi Survivor, it's such an amazing game and feels like a great sequel. All the new features make it a 360 experience. But... there are problems, one of the worst bugs I've seen in a long time and it's still not fixed... Some players are getting locked out of the bounty hunter missions, including me. You can't access that feature of the game at all. This is mind-blowing, how does a game this big have such a huge problem, you are locking away players from a big feature of the game. A lot of people have tried different methods to go around it, but nothing seems to work. Please EA / Respawn fix this issue, it's simply annoying and frustrating. SORT IT OUT! Cheers from Mexico City! L&R!

2023-06-07 05:10:18 +0000 UTCKeep it Up - Keep it up Capcom/Street Fighter Development Team for creating a unified fighting game experience for modern times. With a combined force of it’s mind, body and soul- Street Fighter 6’s World Tour, Battle Hub, and Fighting Ground; all seamlessly connect a massively wide variety of game modes and functions for the player to experience wether they are playing by themself or with other people in an online or local setting. Capcom has essentially threw the “kitchen sink” at us, but that “sink” also happens to be made from pure rhodium (exquisite gameplay with infinite creativity), and is encrusted with diamonds (an online experience that’s fun, engaging, and just works as good as it should), gold (amazing & unique visuals with a sound scape that sets the tone for exciting brutality), and emeralds (a very longterm comitment from the developers to improve and expand the game consistently over time). Finally shout-out to having a great commerce system that is smartly connected to all modes, and gives the ability to earn in game cash (drive tickets) which can be used to buy colors for all your different costumes as well as lots of other things across battle hub and the game’s shop. …And speaking of costumes, how cool is it that you can unlock all the alternate costumes for the entire roster by playing the single player World Tour. Additionally you can outright buy the costumes with essentially real world cash if don’t want to spend the time to play World Tour for them. This is just another example how Capcom has made a game that supports and gives the player the maximum amount of agency regardless if it’s from a gameplay or design perspective. If you are thinking about picking up Street Fighter 6 I recommend picking up the Ultimate Edition, as it not only gives you the base game, the upcoming year 1 characters (Rashid, Aki, Ed and Akuma), but also some future content like new stages for example in addition to lots of drive tickets to spend all sorts of things like costume colors and other ongoing updated content, all this giving a you great start to your fighting game journey.

2023-06-06 21:20:09 +0000 UTCSORT IT OUT! Street Fighter 6 is frickin' great! I mostly skipped out on 5 due to it's poor launch, shaky online implementation and general lack of content but I'm pleased to say pretty much all my criticisms of SF5 have been addressed with SF6... HOWEVER, Capcom have snuck a battle pass into their (full priced) game which they didn't mention anywhere in their marketing or promotion, and they kept it quiet until after the review embargo was up. It isn't live yet and there are no details about it so we don't know how costly or predatory it's going to be, but at the moment it's more or less impossible to unlock additional colours without spending money on premium currency; at the current rate you can obtain the free currency it seems like you will be able to unlock roughly 1 colour every 2 months. There are 18 characters with 6 unlockable colours each. And unlocking the classic outfits without spending premium currency is also quite a grind (it involves maxing out your bond with characters in World Tour mode). They also added Denuvo into the PC version which wasn't there in the Demo or any of the Betas and I am seeing a lot of players complaining that they were able to get smooth performance in the Demo and the Betas but are experiencing stuttering, crashes and having to lower settings in the full release as a result. You have the foundations of such a solid game here, Capcom. Please, for the love of god, don't mess things up and throw away the good will you've garnered by getting greedy at the goal line. SORT. IT. OUT.

2023-06-06 19:56:40 +0000 UTCHey Allies, First, I want to say congratulations to Isla and Sophia for their engagement, I wish you all the best and I'm rooting for you! Now then, lately people have been talking about how Square Enix is worried about FF16's pre-order numbers being lower than FF15's, but should pre-order numbers even matter anymore or be counted at this point? Besides the fact that FF16 is console exclusive and FF15 is multiplatform, I for one usually buy/pre-order my games and download them the night before release and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm positive companies aren't blind to this fact, so why do they worry over pre-order numbers? Any light you can shed would be appreciated. Thanks for all you do. L&R L. E. 2023-06-05 21:32:51 +0000 UTCInscryption was my first Deck Builder and I quickly understood the flow of things and got hooked. I think having the woodland critters on the cards helps create some mass appeal. Whereas other deck builders lean pretty deep into high fantasy or medieval art/settings. Inscryption just feels less "nerdy" (for lack of a better term) and was immediately appealing for me. Likely a good first step game.

2023-06-05 19:42:06 +0000 UTCHi allies! I've been checking out Blasphemous since Eric Williams of GoW Ragnarok fame mentioned it in Huber and Brad's interview. As somebody who's not too familiar with metroidvania games, this game impresses me with how approachable it is. I think it's mainly because of the great map system, it's easier to remember what I've done and where I've been because the game keeps track of it so well. My question: Do you guys have any examples of games that are an approachable first step for newcomers to that game's genre? And what makes that game so approachable? My other example would be the newest Samurai Shodown, which is a phenomenal fighting game for beginners.

2023-06-05 18:35:51 +0000 UTCFor the first time ever Street Fighter interests me more than Mortal Kombat. MK was day one for me since 2011's reboot but now MK1 has me uninterested unless they do something like the world tour mode (or a revamped conquest mode like from the PS2 era). Do you think fighting games should and will add more to appease single-player gamers who might not be avid fighting game fans?

2023-06-05 17:24:20 +0000 UTCIs Diablo the perfect podcast game? If not, what is? Keep It Up: Xbox for announcing that none of their first-party games in their showcase will have full CG trailers.

2023-06-05 14:52:34 +0000 UTCSort it Out - Nintendo soundtracks on streaming services: I recently made a Spotify playlist with some of my favorite songs from video games, including Persona 5, Hollow Knight, Cuphead, Chrono Trigger, and many more. But, my playlist feels lacking, and it's because there's no Nintendo soundtracks on Spotify. Every other game developer, both Western and Japanese, are on Spotify, but Nintendo is on Spotify, so what gives? Either I have to try to find a cover of the song, which usually doesn't live up to the original, or I have to go to YouTube and find somebody who uploaded it, and that video might get taken down at any time by Nintendo since they don't feel like uploading the soundtracks themselves. Nintendo, Sort It Out, and the developers who do upload their music, Keep it Up! -Jack Grossman, aka the_m4elstrom
