Hello Jones! I have noticed that during the podcast, points for Love & Respect games are no longer counted. This is by far not a new development of your reign as the moderator. For example: The Kart Racing quiz in the last podcast. I totally understand that the main fun comes from the panel getting grilled or having to be creative, and not purely from winning. But with nothing on the line, panelists might try less and and don't think their answers over that much. The mindset that this can potentially lead to: "Don't know the answer? Just guess anything. What does it matter? It's not like anyone is counting." But maybe if there was some incentive - some metaphysical prize to win - panelists would be more on the edge of their seat during this, trying harder to get things right and beat the others - perhaps they would approach the game with more strategy too. Metaphysical prizes like could be: - Winning a title, with which they have to be addressed for the rest of the episode (eg. Nr.1 Yoshi Tamer) - an imaginary trophy (eg. a statue of Gabe Newell riding a Epona while holding up a Lootbox key) - Choosing a tattoo that the loser of the game has to get in 65 years. - The right to challenge someone else to a chosen bet with stakes (That bet can be rejected - but how will they choose?!) - 30 seconds time to rewrite a previously talked about headline into a much better fantasy version While I'm not saying that podcast games are broken, I think the energy and entertainment value of such games could benefit from panelists given it their best to get as many points as possible. They could start naturally celebrating every won point, as well as mourning every lost point, as a result of this new attitude - the elbows could come out a bit more. Love and Respect, Snowcone Guy

And now with 263 out, I can report it has happened again, this time for several minutes during the Amazon canceling their LOTR MMO portion. Not editing original comment out of fear Patreon will wipe it, and even then this update might just do that anyway. Fingers crossed.

Hey Jones, Can you please integrate patreon into your website. This thing ate my comment over a day later. It was like my first ever long comments :( I can't be bothered writing it again but I'll just say, please find ways to have guests on your main shows, (group stream, podcast, Frame Trap). Other sites seem to be able to do this regularly but during a WFH scenario, you can't even book any. You've had a lot of multicultural people back at GT but haven't been able to have any of them on. You didn't have any black representation on the podcast or Frame Trap for 5 years and gave an excuse during last June that everyone was booking Blessing or everyone was doing etc so why haven't you done it since? I only suggested having a guest on Hog is that it's only every 3 months so you have a lot of time to ask someone in advance and might relieve pressure from some people that might not want to present. I know you need to ask the other 8 but just tired of the same excuses while you guys have gone on to guest on other venues main shows then don't appear on their shows if they don't make time for you. If the reason is you don't want guests to be on the main stuff then try to get some for spoiler modes that people don't/have time for. Thanks Iboshow P.S I know Ian and Damiani get guests on their shows but they're not the Brand Manager that leaves E3 to "Network"

Is there a way to have a post on Patreon to know the choices of the Allies that were not in the Podcast? Not necessarly with a comment or a explanation. Hi Jones. How come EZA hasn't asked for community/patron feedback for the company direction since the months leading up to Phase 4 in August 2019? I think a lot of the community (maybe outside of the Cup of Jones viewers who are heavily into the company's well-being) feel like they're not listened to lately. And, of course, we Cup of Jones viewers know our fair share of being rejected in our ideas and feedback as well (even if for often justified reasons). Speaking from personal experience - and I know a lot of fellow Cup viewers won't agree, and that's okay - I have never felt less important as a patron to EZA than I have the last year or so. Not in that I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth; I am. But in terms of feeling like we're working towards a collective goal and I'm helping that. I can only assume that the lack of community input and feedback into what EZA is and is going to be has been a big part of that. For the first few years, it was almost as if we were all deciding what EZA would be. The mantra was sort of "we'll be as big as you want us to be." We had the goals to work towards for a studio, for shows we wanted to see, the feedback seemed to influence the direction of shows and streams, etc. Now it's a hands-off approach from the community as we watch to see what you all do. So yeah, I'm just curious if the lack of community feedback for the group is purposeful or unintentional. I don't want to seem negative, and I'm sorry if I'm coming across that way. It's purely from a place of love for the group and the community. And I of course will continue to support you all regardless. L&R, Josh Read.

Hi Jonesy, I wanted to ask about the concept of 'Phases' and how they fit into the current workings of Easy Allies. I understand the 'Phase Four' announcements was having a bit of fun with MCU terminology, but I felt that collection of announcements was one of the most positive and energizing moments that EZA has ever had. I felt personally that it showed a clear direction of travel for the Allies and made me feel confident in my pledge. Do you think going forward, that using this phase announcement system is something you'll do again, potentially banking announcements to reveal all at once, or announcing things way ahead of time, or has EZA pivoted to announcing shows individually in their own time? Hey Mr. Jones! There’s something that’s happened on recent consecutive EZA Podcasts (261 and 262 specifically) I wanted to let you know of. The Early Access video version has had a weird video bug going out of sync, and while the first time I felt was an anomaly and not worth the hassle of going through a re-edit, re-upload process, being back-to-back weeks is starting to become a trend so I just wanted to ask if this is something happening during the render, upload, or actual edit? For 261, it lasted for several minutes whereas 262 was only a handful of seconds. I know there are different versions between Patron and Public, so I’m unsure if this is restricted to JUST the Patron specific video, but I wanted to bring attention to it just in case it happens again (which, as I’m writing this on the Monday BEFORE 263, which will be out by the time you read this question, it may not, but still…). I made an edit for another post, but it didn't go through and my edited post was lost. LAME. Here we go again..... Hello, Jones! There is something I noticed in a podcast I listened to recently. It might have been the only time it happened, but just wanted to bring it to your attention. You grabbed Brads attention, then explained the set up, then gave your opinion, then asked Brad the question. I felt like the time from grabbing Brads attention to asking him the question was a tad too long. Perhaps in the future, you could set up the question, grab somebodies attention, ask them a question, then bounce your opinion off their answer. I feel something like that could be more efficient to flow and also attention spans.
