Mini-Game Champions - Series Premiere

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BzrY5cvscU

Today we're kicking off Mini-Game Champions an 8-episode mini-game competition among the Allies! This first episode is public so everyone can know what the show is all about, but the rest of the season will be exclusive for patrons $1 and up.

In our first episode, it's Brad vs. Damiani as they take on the batting cages from Yakuza Zero and the Rapids Raid from the Switch version of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. If either of them wins both games, that person will move on, but if it's a draw, a tiebreaker will determine their fate.

Stakes are high. There's no losers bracket here. The winner will have to keep winning through three rounds of competition against the other Allies, and the loser will be knocked out until the next season.

To set the direction for the show, we chose the first set of mini-games, but we'd like you to have the opportunity to shape this competition. In just a few minutes, patrons will see an exclusive post where you can submit suggestions for mini-games you think we should play.

Since we'll need a little time to collect submissions and next-gen coverage is right around the corner, it might be a little bit before we roll out the rest of the season, but we'll get it cooking as quickly as we can. Once episode 2 arrives, you can expect new exclusive episodes weekly right here on Patreon.

This has been a fun one to put together, and I can't wait to see where it goes. Special thanks to Ian for his work on the graphics and to Don for the edit. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Damiani with that high level trickery in the Link's Awakening challenge. Too bad it didn't work out in the end

Great job with the new show, Blood! The wife and I really liked this. Like "The Gen That Was" this was very well edited to keep the pace moving. Never a dull moment!

Why it's an 8-episode series? We have 8 participants and no loser bracket. 4 episodes for quarterfinals, 2 episodes for semifinals and one episode for final. 7 episodes total.

Should totally play some Gwent from TW3. Each player gets 3 games the goal is to get the highest possible score for a single round. For reference there is an achievement for getting a 187 points.

This was a super fun idea

Brad with the sweeping victory. RIP, Damiani. See you in the gulag!

This is awesome, looking forward to the next one!
