That's perfect :D

Just a note on the 3DS and why Nintendo is still continuing it. The financial briefing shows why. https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2017/171031_2e.pdf The charts show that the 3DS is selling just a bit less this year hardware wise but more software. There is no benefit to discontinue the 3DS right now when it's trucking along like it has been for the last 3 years. Next report we'll see if the switch is replacing the 3DS. It might, this report also shows that 30% of switch users are playing the switch mainly in handheld mode.

Jones calls it "GT" again around 2:20:00

It's hard to believe Huber didn't even pronounce the word "jolly" while talking about Mario :)

Damiani is Penguin -- Don is Two Face -- Bosman is Scarecrow -- Brad is Joker -- Huber is Killer Croc -- Ben is (DM) Riddler -- Ian is Ivy -- Brandon is Ra's al Ghul (or Batman, if the ensemble needs a Batman) -- and Blood is, obviously, Mr. Freeze

Ben you are NOT overstating how annoying handheld mode for Odyssey is. I went in wanting to 100% this game but I only get to play in handheld on the commute to work and having to shake the console while on an already not 100% stable bus/train/tram is just a nightmare and I put the game down after finishing at just over 200 Moons. Couldn't stand it.

I say you guys do Shovel Knight and the Order of No Quarter.

I finished up Mario Odyssey's final boss fight late last night and played a little bit of the post-game content afterwards. I can honestly say that Odyssey is now my favorite Mario game of all time, dethroning Super Mario 64. Also, I think Odyssey might legitimately be the Greatest Game of All Time. I'm just having way too much fun with this game and I've barely scratched the surface, thanks in large part to the amount of moons found in each kingdom. I plan on getting 100% completion in this game no matter how long it takes.

Odyssey > Breath of the Wild. And it's not really close. Odyssey is pure joy. How I felt when I first played Galaxy

I think 3Ds might be a tad harder to develop for. I guess mapping the models for the different levels of stereoscopy might be kinda tricky, and I also Switch, being an HD console, having much more similar architecture to PS4 and XB1. Rules goes like, The older the console, the messier the dev process, at least back to N64.

I like Jones' take. Obviously it's one thing when people take a little bit of info and blow it out of proportion, report worst fears as confirmed facts, whatever. But a creator/publisher/etc. is responsible for the amount of uncertainty they choose to leave, and with stuff like uncomfortable new systems (loot boxes or anything else), they have to control the message. You can't tell everyone everything, but the less you say, the more space there is for people to let their fears run wild if they don't trust you or are predisposed to dislike the things you're telling them. And of course this can backfire for the other reason as well; if people let their hype run wild and you can't live up to it. You may want people to discover the depth of your game on their own, to preserve the magic or whatever, but if you get people excited you need to deliver or risk the backlash. I know some people think Odyssey showed too much, but I think they controlled it pretty well in both directions. They introduced an odd new mechanic, but showed us enough of it that we immediately understood it and could get excited. They showed us enough normal Mario-type gameplay to give us a framework they we know they could deliver on. We could see enough in demos to get an idea for how big the world is, for the scope of things like collecting moons, etc. And they left out some GREAT, great secret moments that will bring joy to just about anyone who finishes that game. Not a lot of room for fears to spiral out of control, but also not promising us more than they could deliver. Not everyone has the clout and trust that Nintendo does, of course. It's harder to judge for a lot of other cases. But they have to try and, if they misstep, respond. Don't leave people hanging on fears (or unfounded hype) that will ultimately foul the launch of a game.

THANK YOU HUBER! You said what I've been trying to get people to understand about Shadow Of War, people need to stop buying into rumors and half assed discussions about things that are in games and either try the game or do their due diligence on research beforehand. There's no reason not to, you research any major financial expenditure. It can only help you. It hits home even more for people like you guys who do this for a LIVING to research these things before spouting off an opinion since so many people look to you for guidance.

Whoever makes the titles here is a genius.
