I don't know if I'll make it into this week's but, you guys, I finally got my first handheld in, like, fifteen years! My amazing husband got me a 2DS XL for my birthday with Rune Factory 4. So far, so good. What are the must plays for my DS?! Jones, what are your (or Amanda's) personal recommendations?

Thoughts on some patreons don't disclose the amount made per month and instead show how many patrons they have. Have you guys discussed changing to this. How do you think you would change the studio goal if this was the case. How's the meet and greet going for PSX.

Hi Jones, serious question: Do you ever feel that people are skewing towards being too sensitive or politically correct? It seems that every time I look at the internet or TV I'm seeing somebody that's going out of their way to get offended by something. I most recently felt this when looking at the negative reaction towards the Paris Games Week footage of Detroit and The Last of Us 2, which I felt were unfairly criticized for their heavy themes. I was personally glad to see that the Allies knee jerk react to it the same way as some other sites did.

Hi Jones, at around 2:20:00 on Frame Trap this week you said that you ended up playing Zelda because you happened to have the Switch that was for "GT" - nobody called this out on the podcast. Are you afraid of this slip becoming more and more prevalent over time where nobody notices until the point where you're just GT again?

Mr. Jones, I loved all the allies costumes. The detail and commitment was impressive, as it usually is with costumes and the allies. However, I did notice that the garage didn't have too many (if any) decorations for the season. Is it a lack of interest or time? To celebrate Final Fantasy's 30th anniversary I re-bought and re-played Final Fantasys 1-10, got all Kingdom Hearts on PS4 and watched Favorite Fantasy (VI is also my favorite). Do you or any of the other allies have calibrations among themselves for games they love?

That’s all well and good until they express an opinion you don’t like, Its good business sense to stay away from the toxic bs that’s infecting the games industry, to kyles credit he did acknowledge it and than respectfully declined to talk about it, I think it was a good move. Plenty of other places that are discussing that stuff if ur interested.

The show that David Mazouz (Bruce Wayne) was in before Gotham was called Touch (also staring Kiefer Sutherland), in which he plays an autistic type character able to see the threads that link every person to each other. Thought it was a pretty interesting and clever show and was sad when it was cancelled after two seasons.

More of a comment for people that asked for a audio version of this. It's possible through sightly illicit means and i must say it makes for a good listen that fits well with the rest of the easy allies podcast output.

In response, to your response of Fargo’s question: I love the main podcast, but I’d be lying if I said it didn't frustrate me sometimes. I just don’t understand why you guys shy away from “tough” conversations sometimes, it’s not that I need you guys to be my moral compass, but rather that I value your opinions and believe you all to be more than capable of having intelligent/insightful discussions. Sometimes hearing Kyle say “I just don’t want to talk about it” can be maddening, so what if the topic is not fun (loot boxes), or is a sensitive issue (David Ballard), A: A topic does not have to be fun, to be interesting, and B: It’s still news. Even if there is not a lot to talk about, sometimes just saying it’s a shitty situation, or at least just saying something, and not flat out ignoring it, can be enough. Lastly I don’t think you need a separate show for this stuff, you already have the perfect platform in a news based podcast. In terms of making some of the podcasts more friendly to new users, as well as expanding it’s reach. I think Frame Trap may be the hardest for some to get into, simply because it’s a long show, and trying it out is a commitment. Honestly, I think the thing you need to do to help get it to more people, is the thing I hate seeing Youtube channels doing, and that’s to start posting slices of the podcast as separate videos, “Our thoughts on Wolfenstein 2” etc. I presume the reason so many other places do it, is because it works.

(not intended for air) Hey Jones, I'm the one who asked "how will the Allies accommodate new listeners" on their podcasts. I cited the EZA podcast as being more accommodating, and I wanted to explain myself a little further. I think what drew me to the allies initially is the energy you guys all have, loving videogames and the industry. It reminds me very much of my own group of best friends. If I had to nail one reason why I'd say the EZA podcast hits the nail for me, it's probably how Kyle explains every section as we transition into it. The combination of the boyish energy + kyle's structure really sold the podcast to me, weird jokes and all. It made me quickly feel in on the joke, even if I don't know the origin. I also notice Kyle's very cognizant of audience participation and experience during live shows such as the Swords card game livestream, where he insisted on narrating to create drama for the viewers. Not to give Kyle all the glory for what makes the EZA podcast amazing, but I think more awareness of the livestreams as entertainment, joy, and drama really brings me in. Anyway, thanks for reading my comment from last week!

Hi Jones! You talking about the Ring made me want to ask this question. How many Japanese horror films AND their American remakes have you seen? The Ring, The Grudge, The Eye, One Missed Call, or any others? If you have, how did you feel the remake compared to the original? Which was better? Which was scarier? And while I have your attention, did you see the J-Horror film where the ghosts from the Ring and the Grudge fight each other?

Jones, all that bad mouthing of the end of "Exorcist III" and I have to ask: Have you not seen the Director's Cut that uses NONE of those special effects? Hearing you talk about it so passionately, I bet you would really prefer that version. And while the movie doesn't have a subtitle, if it did, it would be "Legion" after the novel it is based on.

I agree wholeheartedly. If they want to discuss it and feel it is appropriate, then absolutely do it, but they shouldn't force themselves to and certain topics they probably should avoid.

I completely disagree with the idea that Easy Allies should constantly be covering sexual harassment issues. If it's a HUGE story that actively affects the games industry, then sure, but otherwise it's not the Allies moral duty or anything like that to cover these things. There are other places for that, people come to games and games youtube channels and the such to get away from those things in real life. Obviously it's up to you guys what you want to talk about and what you want your content to be about, I just don't think most people come to you guys for that. And just to add I'm not angry if you choose to do so or anything like that as it's your company, just throwing in my 2 cents.
