2017-10-23 13:47:20 +0000 UTCThis game is definitely one to check out. The controls are responsive and it rewards you for exploring around areas. Everytime I visited the first world, I found something new hidden in a crevice or in an area I didn't explore. The best part is that the game isn't in-your-face about being a 3D Platformer from the 90's. It uses a lot of original ideas and believes in its own world, much like Shovel Knight did.

It puts some things into question for me, like why not Night in the Woods or Hollow Knight? I understand why not Syberia 3, but that's my favorite franchise of all time. I just think you're opening yourself up to criticism when it comes to indie games in the future. If this was just about being a 3D Platformer better than Yooka-Laylee, Poi was an excellent game released at the beginning of the year with no mentions. If this is to drum up 3D Platformer hype before Mario well then it sounds like hopping on the hype train. I understand Brad really liked this game, but it didn't need a full review, unless this is trying to make good on all of the great games overlooked this year.
