After playing the original Starfox (which has aged extremely poorly IMO) I actually found Starfox 2 to be a lot of fun. On it's own though the performance is still not great even if much better than the first game
2017-10-03 23:32:33 +0000 UTCSeems like it was a sandbox for adding new ideas but forgot to include the signature things that made the first so memorable. Glad it got released regardless and hope that other in limbo titles get the same non-pressure bonus release treatment.

2017-10-03 15:26:11 +0000 UTCThe game just looks less appealing. Starfox thrives on forward momentum through an exciting environment. This has a much more emphasis on more claustrophobic, uninspired arenas.

2017-10-03 10:28:01 +0000 UTCIt really wasn't a great game, certainly not worth being the sole reason a lot of people had to buy an SNES classic either. So it makes sense, but had this come out in the 90s I think it would've been well received, it was reasonably difficult to buy an N64 when they first came out so there would've been a demand for this on SNES. I still think it was fun to play though, it's fun to see what people were able to accomplish with limited hardware.

2017-10-03 05:16:22 +0000 UTCI really dig the music and mechanics, I think if they had been able to find a way to solve the performance problems it would've been a really neat game overall. Beat it a couple times...but yeah, the framerate is just soooooo bad that I don't feel eager to play again.
