The Souls Retrospective - Part I - Through the Fog
Added 2017-09-19 15:53:27 +0000 UTCLike most of you, I watched many of the Retrospectives on GameTrailers like the Final Fantasy and Castlevania entries and was amazed by the hard work and passion that went into each one. Each and every Retrospective gave me a special feeling that felt like a celebration that not only honored the games themselves, but also the creators and people behind them. It was something that I wanted to be a part of long before my days of actually working in the industry and I’m honored that I get to share a series with you that’s so close to my heart.
Thank you all for being patient and supportive of me and the rest of the allies while I worked on this massive project. I’m sorry it took so long, but it turned out to be a much larger task than I had originally envisioned. I hope you all enjoy this in-depth look into the Souls franchise.
I wanna give a special thank you to Brandon for taking the time to edit this massive retro and Bloodworth for editing all my scripts. They’ve both been very helpful and I’ve learned a lot from both of them during this process. I’d also like to thank the rest of the allies. They’ve been nothing but supportive to me.

I bought a PS3 just for Demon's Souls when it came out, and playing it fresh while uncovering it's secrets alongside others in the emerging web (2.0?) community was lightning in a bottle. It was a very special time. Hopeful that coming episodes will, alongside outlining systems and detailing information surrounding the release, manage to include some of the celebratory reflection & giddy wide eyed excitement that EZA excels at when off script. Excellent work, Brad.
