I appreciate that Huber doesn't like people using derogatory names, but that wasn't the point of the werewolf scene at all. The joke was how juvenile this immortal character is, and that the alpha has to scold him for using that type of language. So the movie directly addresses that it isn't alright. Huber mentions a couple instances, but I'm not sure what the other would be. If it's when they're walking and someone shouts at them, then that was an actual pedestrian who yelled at them while filming according to Taika in an interview. It seems like a weird censorship argument, but the moment made it more real because everyone knows someone like that who makes inappropriate comments that make people feel awkward for being associated with them. Anyway no disrespect to Huber. I just think the scene was misread.

Great episode, thank you! This is one of my favourite genres so I was really looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Can I suggest for you to watch The Office (UK version) as I think it is a great a example of the format and also has really heart warming christmas special so goes with next weeks theme. While I enjoyed the US version of the office as its own show, I think it lost a lot of the dryness and subtlety that made the orignal feel so real and unique at the time.

Thanks for the Borat chat (Borchat? Anyway). Got me with that Jackass tangent too - I'll have to go back and watch those + WWDITS now. Incidentally, if Huber wants a helluva good mockumentary to start him off, there's GRUNT! THE WRESTLING MOVIE. Only way to stream it right now is on Youtube, but it's such a dumb, fun ride.

I'm never not excited when a new Reaction Shots episode comes out! As a note, the name of the compilation movie with Takashi Miike's 'Box' is called 'Three... Extremes' which also includes 'Cut' by Park Chan-Wook and 'Dumplings' by Fruit Chan. It is a great collection and has a special place in my heart! I'm glad you got Jones in on this discussion! Even if Huber couldn't contribute as much, I really enjoyed what he had to say about 'What We Do in the Shadows' and I'm so happy that he liked it. This episode confirms to me that I need to step up my Mockumentary viewings and get a few more under my belt, I feel like I've missed out on so many.
