Trailer Jones - Ready Player One - SDCC Teaser

This was not my favorite trailer from this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, but it was the one I was looking forward to talking about the most. Thank you to those that suggested it. It’s also nice to try a movie trailer for the show and channel, to see if we can get away with looping film footage over and over, even if its an ad.
I’m excited for this movie, because this is one of those supposedly “un-film-able” books like Watchmen. Something where you’re reading it and constantly thinking, “How are they going to bring all this craziness to life?” Obviously, it’s going to have to be different brands of craziness, but it’s tempting to see it all come together.
It’s been eye-opening reading everyone’s varied critiques on the trailer, having the reference of the book’s story to fall back on. I think the next trailer we get for Ready Player one is going to be much different than this one. Less playful, more plot-focused. Get used to seeing stuff slam into each other and blow up, though. That’s kind of what the Oasis is all about.
Apologies on the old logo. Kyle and Daniel (and even Amanda) came in with some last minute notes and the guy who designed it is currently making revisions. Hopefully I’ll have that sucker glossed up by next week’s episode.

How well did they do the banter and character interactions. How disgusting is it to show Black Panter in the story trailer while the character is DLC? I would love your guys take on this! L&R Jordy

I think it does a commendable job. Or does it get by, only by showing half the game?

I am excited to see it though, and I hope it's good! Hope that Blade Runner 2049 is good too. Denis Villeneuve makes awesome films.
