Persona 5 - Easy Allies Review

Just completed Persona 5, and came back to watch the review! Ben's writing is just as good as the game - in other words, masterful! I started from release day, and I have just played through it once, clocking in at 251 hours... I take my time in games, for instance I had over 180 hours in Zelda: Breath Of The Wild on my one and only playthrough. I've spent a lot of time grinding in mementos/dungeons while listening to podcasts, let's plays and other streams from EZA-crew, and just having a grand time doing it! :D I have to say though... I don't envy having to rush through a game like Persona 5, the way Ben had to... It's such a long game! I used two months! Anyways, thanks for the review and L&R! :)

Amazing review. One of the best games I have played in years. The characters were so well written and the situations made me audibly gasp or cheer. By the time the credits rolled around, I was tearing up. I loved almost every moment of this game.

My partner and I have been so excited for this game but this review took it further. We are considering buying a second ps4 just so we don't have to share.... Another amazing review! Thanks Ben and Jones!

i really liked this review. Ben the writing was excellent. Brandon, I dont know about your music selection for the review. Some music was out of place thematically for the review. My example would be the ending song. Why am I hearing this demonic ominous music when we are unveiling the score? a perfect score too! I woulda picked something more up beat something that sounds triumphant. Life Will Change woulda been good as the ending song rather than in the middle. Just some helpful criticism. Love and Respect

I agree I was kind of shocked to see there were no male romance options.

I totally agree. It's far beyond a lot of AAA western games let alone jrpgs. Had originally planned on switching to Japanese audio but a friend recommended English and sure enough it's great.

Good stuff Ben ! I'm 27 hours in at 06/11 right now and loving it quite a bit. Hopefully this convinces a few more fence sitters to give it a whirl.

Am I the only one who thinks the English VO is 5 stars? Maybe I just don't play enough JRPGs (or haven't made it far enough in, about 7 hours in) but this is the best VO work I think I've seen in almost any game. Which makes it even better since it's a Japanese translated game.

Excellent review! I've only recently started the game. I'm about 30 hours in and I feel you covered all the aspects I would have in expressing just how superb this game is. Also glad to see it get that 5 star rating. Persona 5 most certainly earns it!

50 hours in and I would give it 5 stars as well. Dungeons can be a bit boring but no way does it deserve a 4 and a half (9) stars for that.

Great review! I have my own small personal gripes with p5 (let! me! date! boys!!), but it's been such a great experience so far. There's plenty of substance too, but it's hard not to have fun playing a game that oozes so much style.

Amazing review Ben! Very thorough coverage of all the merits of such an incredible game.

Beautifully written review. Also, it must have been a pain to get all the footage with the PS4's capture ability disabled, so kudos for the editing, too. I just got to the 60-hour mark of the game, and while it's nuts that I'm only halfway through, I'm still absolutely loving it. It truly deserves the score. I really dig how it has a bits of 3 and 4 (it helps that I got all of the dlc so far) while being completely new. The subject matter is the darkest of the ones I've played, which is funny, since this game is full of lively colors. When a game keeps me entertained by just its load screens, you know it's special.

Just finished the game last night, and very happy that you pointed out the unfiltered look into real issues. Initially I was a bit disturbed by the upfront-ness of it, but it really emphasizes the severity of these problems. Great review.

Fantastic review Ben, I know it's tough investing so much time in one game to eventually write it up and have in a form which can be digested by the viewer in a mere 5 - 10 minutes or so but the quality really shines through here in your final review. I have the game and I promise I will play it when possible, just right after I'm finished with Zelda, Yooka-Laylee and loads of other games I've seemingly forgotten about in this moment. It will be my first Persona tile, I'm confident that it will be a glorious experience.
