Hey allies. After 120 hours of playing through the game and then several more hours writing the script, the review for Persona 5 is finally finished. It certainly took a lot longer than I would have liked but I hope the quality of the review helps make up for that.
As many of you know, I've been excited about Persona 5 for some time and I'm happy to report that the game exceeded my expectations. I knew it'd be slick and that I'd love the characters, but it also resonated with me on a deeper level. Persona 5 feels like it's about something and that something I think is very important. It's about picking yourself up after a difficult time, wrestling with your own mental demons, and refusing to let go of your beliefs even when the world is against you. Very rarely do games feel so contemporary in a meaningful way. The story is something that I'll be chewing on for some time, much like I've been doing with Nier: Automata.
I hope you enjoy the review and I look forward to reading your feedback.
Leah
