Anniversary Announcement Wrap-Up

It’s been a whirlwind week as we’ve celebrated one year as Easy Allies with our concert, mega-stream, meetups and more. We’ve crossed 100,000 subscribers on YouTube and 6000 patrons, surging to over $43,000 in monthly pledges.

We’ve also made a number of announcements regarding our Patreon and future plans.
New $40,000 goal: We’ve realized that Story Time with the Allies may not make the most sense for a new show as we’re constantly telling our stories in other forms. Instead, if we maintain our $40,000 level at the end of the month, we’ll be producing two new podcasts – a bi-weekly Nintendo podcast hosted by Michael Damiani (with early access for $1 patrons) and The Easy Allies Movie Podcast which will come out once per month, hosted by Ian Hinck. New $7 film club tier: This gets you early access to the Easy Allies Movie Podcast, Ian and Huber’s favorite movie lists, questions and comments to be included on the podcast, and early discussion of the current month’s topic.
Zelda Talk: Damiani has been doing this bi-weekly show for a few weeks now. At times it will be discussion based, other times it will feature more produced segments. The Souls Retrospective: Written by Bradley Ellis and Edited by Brandon Jones, our latest Retrospective will delve into the worlds of Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and the story behind their development. I did want to say I do not like the idea of a Nintendo only podcast at all though, I feel like it would limit discussion on you other shows somewhat, and I just simply think there isn't enough interesting Nintendo exclusive topics to talk about either. I love Nintendo, but they don't exactly announce exciting things frequently enough to warrant a podcast. I feel like your guys' time could be better used elsewhere, but more content is always nice so I'm not really complaining either! L&R

I'm not a huge movie guy, so the podcast doesn't speak to me personally, but listening to Ian talk about a topic he cares about for an hour or so every month sounds like a good time. I still think Story Time with the Allies has its place. Sure, you tell stories all the time, but you can't go off on a tangent during a podcast or stream as much as you would be able to if you had a show with the sole purpose of going down the memory rabbit hole. You always have to return back to topic during podcasts and streams at some point, and I feel like a lot of interesting details and stories get lost that way. Also, I got a suggestion for Don't Skip: Rain World. Looks amazing but is probably going to fly under a lot of people's radar. Comes out tuesday next week.
