Another Dumb Game Monday Vote

Hi Allies!

So I'm back here to collect your votes for the next Dumb Game Monday. That's right--last week's winner, Pryzm Chapter One: The Dark Unicorn, will not continue. Yes, the entire point of Dumb Game Monday is to learn to love a game that doesn't get love. While it seems against the entire purpose to give up on last week's selection after just two hours, what can I say, I just really can't stand Pryzm. The thought of more time inside that game just makes my skin crawl. I don't know what happened. The box art was perfect, the name was perfect. I would have voted for Pryzm too, no question. I'm choosing to accept this was just a sad anomaly, and I hope the next game you select will be something we can truly enjoy.

Despite the fact that we got burned, the voting rules must stand:

1. No Googling

2. No voting for a game you've played before

This week I'm putting up two top-3 finalists from the last vote against a few others from my Potential Dumb Game Stack. Please check out each box art below before voting:

Option A

Option B

Option C

Option D

Option E

Dumb Game Monday will continue this Monday at 8pm PT on twitch.tv/easyallies and will be archived with our other streams on youtube.com/easyalliesplays

Love & Respect,

(except when it comes to Pryzm)

Kyle

Option D all the way

Karl Williams

ANOTHER IGN 7/10?!??!?!?!?!?!

Eduardo Ortiz

I voted for Timeshift because i feel a bit bad about torturing Kyle...but just this once, then back to the torture!

Eduardo Ortiz

really need to show the back well, or tell us what it says

Option C says made by The Creative Assembly, who if I'm not mistaken, make Alien Isolation, Halo Wars, and other successful RTS games. If true, it may be dumb, but it also may be good. Also, Option E is dumb but actually pretty solid if I recall.

M I K E Y M O

Tail of the Sun is going to be just as bad as Pryzm lol

I'm so curious by Tail of the Sun just by its simple cover and home on ps1

Kolby Keith

Oh no......oh no......tail of the sun. We're in for one hell of a ride if that wins....

sirvorn

I love clicking on these and seeing, yes, the other allies have my taste for weird, mysterious things.

James McCoy

I for one am sorry to have contributed in subjecting you or any of the allies to Pryzm and an soooooo glad for another shot.

Rhodesiensensical

All Star Karate's cover made me laugh out loud

Shweep

Tail of the sun

Brogan Trull

This granny thinks her grandson might need to practice some karate to defend himself against dwarves and unicorns.

Brittany Fuller

Speeeed Raaacerrrrr... because of Daniel Kayser!

Tim Albers

C because Sega

D looks interesting from its box art. I am kind of curious as to what that game will actually be.

Stromrise looks great the boxart anyway i thought all the rest weren't very eye cathing

Kc Wright

C because Australian game development,

Game Informer's Super Replay of Tail of the Sun is one of my favorite things on YouTube.

Jan Ivar Carlsen

Second time in a row I've been tempted by Timeshift - but Tale of the Sun is genuinely intriguing.

Samuel Cardwell

Damn it, Kyle. Because of your rules I can't vote for Timeshift, but I think you would love it. Oh well let's hear this tale about the Sun.

Tail of the Sun has me interested. Artdink made Aquanaut's Holiday on PS3, and that wasn't bad at all.

Andreas Köther

Can I just say that early on in the PS3's lifecycle, the TimeShift multiplayer demo was actually quite popular and stayed online for a while. It was actually genuinely very fun and surprising depth for a shooter. Definitely filled the void of not owning many online multiplayer games as a 13 year old with a new console.

Uu, I like how others were just as intrigued by Tail of the Sun. Fingers crossed!

Ville Ranto

I voted that one too, since the box art was way better than the others. However, Tail of the Sun (current leader) was going to be my second pick.

Andrew Chalmers

Tail of the Sun looks so mysterious... hoping for some amazing RPG

Andrew Giovannini

no one wants speed racer?!

confusedhulk

Agreed! I can see Kyle being intrigued by this one too

Bdun912

Tail of the sun looks promising. And a classic ps1 title always had their charm

Wii Motion shenanagins, a racer, a shooter?, what the hell is that?!, or another shooter. Obviously, I went with the least predictable one.

MBUN

Yeah, Pryzm was bad. Dumb game Monday games should be dumb and weird, not flat out bad.

Ian Alexander

Speed racer, what could be bad about that!?

ZyloWolfBane

The Tail of the Sun cover looks pretty, so it gets my vote. I'm shallow! ;)

I haven't played Tail of the Sun, but I have watched Game Informer play it and it's one of my favourite super replays of theirs, so I'm gonna cheese it and vote for that. This world needs more TotS rep!!

Some cool stuff here! (maybe)

Parasitepaladin

Grandma did not give us Prysm, we rented that game from the video store for just a weekend.

Mikehook1

I think B would be fun but D has got me hooked. What could it be? Why is the title like that? will our questions be answered??

Max Miller

Yeah I'm sorry Kyle. I've played Speed Racer and it's honestly a damn good F-Zero clone with wheels. The only thing I didn't like about it was the lack of impressive Car-Fu tricks. It simply must be disqualified.

Just off box art, Option A was the only one that made me involuntarily speak. Had to pick that one.

Karate has the most interesting cover by far! Everything else looks super blah and generic.

All in for Stormrise. Tail of the Sun looks interesting but that pun is trying too hard.

Was going to go with tail of the sun, but I can envision it being a game where it doesn't age well, at all. So had to go with stormrise- it was my runner up from last week.

Garrett Fox

Speed Racer is a legit great game, but I know it backwards and forwards. I bought it based on how good the reviews were online, and basically played it into the GROUND. Non-dumb and therefore ineligible.

Doug S

KARATE PLEASE!
