Hi Allies!
It's time for Brandon Sun, Kyle Moon to come its conclusion at last. I didn't realize this while we recorded, but this honker is 1 hour and 30 minutes long. And that's with no epic final battle at the end. I feel in this series I did make up for the absolute thrashing I faced in the finale of Brandon Plays Pokémon, but when Jones is too disheartened to even face me, it just doesn't even feel good at that point.
We do get a lot of interesting observations from Jones not just on Sun and Moon but how far (and not so far) Pokémon has come in 20 years, and I get to share some of my favorite memories from this game in there too. Ultimately it's been a weird series. Absolutely we dropped the ball on making this a regular weekly or even bi-weekly event, but even then it seems like there was less enthusiasm and excitement behind this than Brandon Plays Pokémon. My guess is that some of the most fun parts of that concept are left behind. In the end I wouldn't call Brandon Sun Kyle Moon a huge success, but not a failure either. I think there's something here. We just gotta keep mining.
Thanks for checking the series as we've come along, and as always, dump all the feedback you got on us.
Love & Respect,
Kyle
