Yeah but that is just lying to ourselves. If you are an Easy Allies sub you probably already checked Patreon out, why would you ever come back and see this post if you decided not to donate in the first place? And as for the "bothering the casuals" issue, you can't make everybody happy. Patreon is a reality of the Easy Allies community, and it is what keeps this ship floating. If a non patreon sub is offended about a video like this being on the main channel, so much so that he/she would unsubscribe, then why do we need that person? Since Easy Allies doesn't rely on views to exist, and that person is obviously not going to contribute, then why bother thinking about someone with that kind of attitude? I absolutely agree that the Allies don't want to "milk" existing patrons, but not making this video public is indirectly doing so. L&amp;R.

I’m not vocal in this community, but this weird show managed to make me move my head out of my internet shelter. I like the art style and the ‘box peek game’ is very weird indeed. I wonder, is the box peek game a VR-multiplayer thing or are your characters carrying around boxes in the ‘real world’ and challenge each other randomly? “I challenge you to box-peek!” “No man, I’m just trying to move into my new apartment. I’m not playing that stupid game!” “Oh, okay. Sorry.” Anyway, good luck making the new show. I’m curious how it will turn out and I like the art-style. You don't need to be a Patron to see this video. Anyone interested in being a Patron can see this. Pretty sure they want to save public channel videos for shows instead of bothering non Patrons with these Patreon videos (for some reason casuals seem to hate that :P). I don't think they are trying to milk existing Patrons for more money. They just don't want to use the public channel for Patreon videos.

Ps: Otherwise people who are not patreons of Easy Allies will think this awesome new show has come out of nowhere, and won't know about the huge effort that we are making here to make it happen, and how important it is for them to support you if they want to keep getting some cool projects like that. And that would just be sad, and a lost chance to make this community grow.

Guys, I am concerned about the fact that you won't make this video public on Youtube. It makes it seem like you want to squeeze more money out of the people who are already supporting you instead of getting some new patrons. This isn't healthy or sustainable for the community, we need more people spending less money, not less people spending more money in order for this patreon campaign to keep growing. Don't get me wrong, it's great that people who are raising their pledges are willing to do so to make this project happen, but I don't think they will be able to keep that in the long run. Those people had already calculated how much they could pledge, and once the hype for this project wears off, they'll go back to those amounts. Please consider making this video public, I truly want you guys to get an office and be able to mantain it, and I think that is the way to go for that to happen. Love &amp; Respect Allies.

Maybe an idea for season 2: Cat races. It would be the same show concept, but it would focus on the culture of cat races that Yogalla talks about. It should be fairly easy to do on a low budget and it might attract some Tabletop fans. It might even get EZA more attention because people on youtube like cat videos for some reason.

This is a great idea. You can tell a fun story on a low budge but you can still inject a unique visual style with background and puppets. I actually like those prototype puppets, but the fact that Bosman keeps dumping on them makes me excited for the final "big-budget" designs.

Hate to be that one guy, but this sounds almost as meh as ARMS. I don't really understand what exactly is being pitched here.

I love this idea, Kyle! 10 minute episodes are pretty ambitious but I believe in you and I'm super glad you are batch filming it to be less stressed about it! Hopefully, this means we'll get a Month of Kyle ala Month of Don-esque where we hype up and premiere the epsiodes to enjoy together!

Also a suggestion, to circumvent the stress of weekly releases, break it up into seasons, film the season, then make the next one as you release the old ones. Makes sense to me at least.

Hey Kyle, I'm currently in college once again getting my second degree in audio engineering and music production, where we do everything including learn how to score TV and film. I've been a musician (guitar and piano) my whole life, had two rock bands that played shows to around 100-300 depending on the night, have lots of experience recording music of all styles, can compose almost any genre (except im not the best jazz player), can write and produce/record nearly any instruments you would want as I have access to extensive software libraries of sample based instruments, love cheesy themes to shows like Pokemon, can mix and master my own music at home with an extensive list of industry standard software emulations of classic analog gear (could send you the piece with no vocals and then you could record vocals and send it back to me and I'll make you sound real good).... In an attempt to show that im not a just a creepy random obsessed fan it seems I'm rambling quite a bit. Admittedly, I'm feeling quite sick today and my head isn't thinking straight. But I just want to offer my services. I could give you free music, in pretty much any style you want and fitting any emotion you want. I could also maybe even do post production work (school has taught that as well and I have the right tools for it), No pressure what so ever, of course!! Just thought this could be mutually beneficial for both of us because I need portfolio work and so I would work incredibly hard on this. Really hope we get to $44k sooner than later so you can make this a reality, Bosman. Been dying for more shorter-form content from EZA, and this would scratch that itch perfectly. Bummed this has to be a stretch goal, as part of me feels like the Allies shouldn't mind what I'd think would be a minor cut in pay for a single month to make 2+ months worth of content that could help potentially grow the channel, but being on the outside looking in, it's a bit unfair of me to assume that. And I get the hesitation on your part to step on other people's livelihoods. Also, if it gets the Patreon as a whole closer to that $50k studio goal, who am I really to complain? Whatever the case, very excited about this form of content, Kyle. Part of me had been thinking about dropping my patronage back down a bit, but this definitely shuts down that feeling. I'm all for it, I think the only thing I really want to say is that I hope stuff like this becomes more common. Outside of Huber Syndrome and the illusive Don's Discount Gaming, we don't get to see much of this shot-in-bulk evergreen content that is released weekly at a consistent schedule, and I'd kill to see that become more frequent. Hope this gets funded quick, and that it's the first strange quirky show of many that you produce within the EZA-verse.

Randy, if he had the equipment to film a "proper" trailer he'd not require an increase in pledges. Think about it for a second, he's asking a couple of grand to make a whole show from scratch and has included some test footage for proof of concept. How do you not see that being completely different from a software company asking for several million dollars to add towards a project that's already in production?

I'm incredibly excited for Box Peek! Bosman, you have a great knack for coming up with stories. I love the concept, I grew up watching those sort of shows so they have a special place in my heart. I just have one suggestion, if you create a rival character (an almost necessary trope for this genre) you should consider Huber or Brad to play him. Huber is naturally over the top and Brad can easily pull off a too-cool-for-school attitude (like Ultima Brad).

I think that I appreciate you most Bosman because you do and think the things I would if I were in your place. I have no idea what this show will be like but I'm freaking inspired by your combination of pragmatism, creativity, and willingness to make something different than anything the Allies (or really even you) has done before. I know it's a one off, but I'm gonna permanently up my patronage in the hopes that this gets funded and whatever else you decide to make you get as much freedom as you need. Also I would love to see you attempt a clay-mation or stop motion show. A lot of work, but high yield with a lot of reusable materials, which is useful on a budget.

One thing I loved in The Final Bosman was the animated or drawn stories that you did in 'Bonus Bits' If we can't have Final Bosman (which I still want) having an extended series of Bosman-drawn stories with VO is pretty much the next best thing - so yeah, I am pretty interested in this idea.

You were just talking about successful strategies for crowdfunded games on the last podcast, and here you are showing how that strategy pays off (as far as selling the idea better). Well Done Kyle. I can honestly say that puppets area path to success (I got through an alarming amount of my Law Masters Degree with puppets). I am just concerned with the possible lack of female voices given the cast. I hope this doesn't mean you are restricting yourself to male characters.

This sounds weird and wonderful Kyle. I have always wanted to see more of your art, and more of your writing, in EZA content, so this should be great. Have you considered releasing any sort of teaser for the content (beyond the concept illustration in the video) that focuses more on the box-peek side and less on the meta side of making a show and patreon and whatnot? Of course, to be a good trailer, Bosman, no CG. You know we need gameplay!

Finish each episode with a question for the allies and let them vote on Patreon. The answer would have an impact on the story of the following episodes.
