Super excited for this. I have a PS2 copy but when I went back to try and complete it years later it looked to jagged.

Currently it's a PS4 exclusive, but maybe one day it'll come to Xbox One and PC. Perhaps even Switch.

Here's a dumb question, probably, but is this coming out on Xbox One as well? I only ask because a couple things Ben said made it sound that way, but I can't find anything confirming that possibilty. It's another PS exclusive I'm just dreaming would come to XB1, right?

I'll be perfectly honest. I never played the original FF XII. The only reason I have any interest in this game is because the soundtrack is one of my Top 5 favorite Final Fantasy OSTs. I doubt I'll finish the game, but to hear both the original and remastered music while playing is gonna be so much fun.

I just wish this game was coming out sooner! July is a little late, I want it now. Good coverage of the game, Allies, I'm really looking forward to maybe some streams or a Review once the game does come out.

XII is my favorite FF, so I'm looking forward to the Zodiac Age release. I enjoyed hearing your guys thoughts on this game.

FFXII to me was an amazing setting, great characters, good battle system...and a ho-hum story. That's what's always made it difficult to go back to for me. The overall plot always felt a little undercooked. So much potential and I just never felt like it coalesced. But I think the remaster and the chance to use the job system will be enough to bring me back to try again.

The gambit system was sooo boring. I built a flawless system on my own and beat the game easily by pressing X without looking. I was bored to tears. I'm not even going to get on the story, music and characters because it will just make me really angry.

XII is a personal disappointment to me, everything in it spells unfinished or compromised, I think the leaving of Matsuno Yasumi really hurts this game. All we were left with were the backbone of greatness with nothing worth while on it, the gambit system was good but lacking in context, the Lucavi Demons from FFT and the power of Dark from Vagrent Story were sidelined to almost nothing other than flavor text completely wasting the point of ever setting this in Ivalice, the main cast have great variety in back story and dynamics but minimal development, the villians were so underdeveloped that I can't differentiate most Judges from each other, the story as a whole was insignificant in scope compare to the world around it, the two great warring nations were invisible to the most part...... I can go on and on with this, but the point is the only way to salvage this game was a complete remake or a greatly expanded sequel, and most importantly Ivalice is Matsuno's brain child, any game without his involvement would be difficult at best, impossible at worst, all you have right now is a half finished master piece ruined by incompetent restorers trying and failing to capture the soul of its being.

This was the first FF numbered game I played that brought so many problems. It was like a premonition of what was to come...*cough*FFXIII*cough*. I dedicated a lot of time to FFXII with 120+ hours. I have never been so disappointed in my life with everything other than the towns and environment which was fabulous and beautiful. The biggest sin Square-Enix committed in this game was how secret treasures were RNG. I will never forgive them for that.

Great preview guys. I never connected with XII when it first came out, so I'm looking forward to picking it up and seeing how my views on the game will have changed.

Far from it. That was direct feed from their session when they played the game. It was edited to match what they were talking about as well as could be expected. -Bloodworth

what happened to the face cam throughout the video? haha its like you just plopped the whole sample footage over the middle of the video.. oh well, thanks for sharing your opinions on this :D i'm so hyped after watching other sites covering it as well

Going through time, Square Enix has implemented graphics a lot... But looking back to old FFVII something has been lost imho. Starting from hardware specs requirements to players ingame effort. Great video btw. :)
