Brazil - Reaction Shots Commentary Track!

Huber and I had a good time watching Brazil and giving our thoughts throughout. Sometimes we let the movie speak for itself, but we for sure have some things to say about it.
To sync it up pause it when I tell you to and then start the movie and unpause when 8:49PM comes up on screen. Then you should be in sync with us.
If you go to the page you can download the file and listen on any device. I didn't include this in the Reaction Shots RSS feed because I didn't want to bog down people who don't want these in their RSS feed.

Hmm, would have been nice if Huber could have watched the movie again and did some research on it before he did this commentary. Most of the time he was just reacting like a person who had never seen the movie before.

A question: Now that you have done a political satire on our current society, can I have hope that you will eventually consider doing a commentary on Snowpiercer? Not the same quality as a film, but still a very good satire on our current societies and there is a reason why one of the main characters is called Gilliam in there. :). Even if not, thank you for doing Brazil, and giving me an excuse to watch it again, and the chance to watch it alonmgside you guys :)

One question that came to mind, this is a bit spoilery, was that if Deniro's character actually existed, though I feel it's a bit cliche to theorize some aspects of a movie this way. But, he never seemed to be acknowledged by any of the other characters, and I would say the tasks he took care of could of been handled by the protag since he is presented as someone who can handle overt situations. I believe Deniro's character was his way to disconnect himself for involving himself in the illegal activity. The ending kind of reaffirms this, as Deniro's characters comes in as a mystical savior and in turn is revealed as a fantasy of the protags.
