Huber Syndrome - Backlog Anxiety

It's a hectic time for video games and Huber is cracking under the pressure.

Huber Syndrome - Backlog Anxiety

Comments

You think you got problems? Right now I'm playing Far Cry 4, then it will be Just Cause 3, then Uncharted 4. All of that while still playing The Witcher 3 including all the DLC, Fallout 4, and now Persona 5.

PSP for $20? That's a good deal. Definitely worth it.

Very well executed episode, great stuff.

As if my backlog wasn't bad enough I just bought a PSP for $20 and quickly bought Persona 2 and 3 and Breath of Fire IV.

Well... my trick is I never buy a game the month it's out, except for multiplayer games. This way I always get a deal and peace. But... the backlog grows even further because of those deals, because of those sales... There is never peace!!!

Nioh is meh, don't be anxious about it, Huber.

Great Episode Huber! My trick is to check at my local game shop for sales (not primarly for monetairy reasons, but still great to save a couple of bucks) whenever i feel like checking out a new (or in that case old) game. At the moment i'm playing Persona 4 Golden on my vita when i travel and at Home i play OG Dark Souls 3 and i'm loving it!

I can kind of agree on having a huge backlog means I'll work through some games quicker to get to the next one, but this generally only applies to when all I really want to do is play that other game. If anything, I'll rush through a game because I don't want it spoiled. It also means I can get to the actual discussion of the game quicker. I usually don't discuss the game while I'm playing it. Want to experience the game first hand with my own senses. The only reason I developed a "backlog" (I don't consider my collection part of the backlog for various reasons) in the first place was that there were more obscure games I felt I needed to support, like Gravity Rush 2 or Nier Automata, with a mix of games I couldn't wait to play, like Horizon. I felt no need to play them in order of release though, but it feels urgent that I play them soon to avoid spoilers and such.

The biggest form of backlog anxiety I get is from games I already beat, but want to play again. Even though I already "checked it off the list" and still have other games to play, I just feel bad for wanting to replay other games that I really enjoyed.

I feel you Huber, but honestly it doesn't bother me days because more and more games are so much better after a few months because they get patched

What can be seen haha!

Great ep! Huber's back? ;) Huber, try www.backloggery.com

God I hope Persona 5 doesn't get left behind for you because of this haha. Whatever you're playing isn't as important as Persona!!! (Typed while waiting for Marvel Heroes Omega to install...)

Huber, you got a green tongue, dude! Haha

I didn't even start with Witcher 3 Vanilla yet. It keeps staring at me from de depths of my steamy window, with a hint of sadness in its eyes. I just finished Bloodborne and TLG and had a blast with them. The other games on your list are still much further ahead on my to do list. Lagging many many months behind on games. However, nowadays I like my never ending backlog; it's soothing to know, that there are always so many great games in my life, just waiting to be explored. L&R!

Keep up! ! !

Kravenar Games

I feel this so badly, I'm still working through Witcher 3 Blood & Wine. There are at least a dozen games just waiting for me to get to them. The Last Guardian, Titanfall 2 campaign, Nier: Automata, Horizon, Gravity Rush 2, FFXV (waiting for those story fixes), the list goes on. Keep up the good work, take a break sometime, Love & Respect
