First two hours of this game is great but when I realised that I'm going to be taking over rackets several times in a row without any story segments I tuned out. Still like to walk around the city but don't like entering enemy territories accidentally and having repetive combat. Less cops than 2 so far but when I do see them they're suspicious right away. Hopefully Vito's side missions will be good.

I'm really enjoying the storytelling in this game, but it definitely lacks a lot in the being-a-game department, I agree! That said, I kinda want to see the same bizarre bugs you've seen in the game which I've yet to see. It's possible they've patched it so I'll never end up seeing them.

I agree with this review completely in terms of the gameplay department but then again I am enjoying the story and characters so much that I know I will finish Mafia 3 but I probably will never ever do a 2nd play through.

I recently started the game and the opening has me hooked, but I just got to where im learning how to take out these higher up guys by destroying their pubs, and I can already see where this game is gonna drag. Such a shame. It started off strong, they should've just kept to a more centralized type of game rather than open world with useless side missions. I don't think I'll be finishing this game

What difficulty did you play on for the Review? Did you have Simulation Driving turned on? On hard the Police seem to be professionals at shooting out my tires, first shot every time the bastards. I agree with the AI simplicity, but I think the game earned a full 3 stars at least.
