You should totally check out "keep talking and nobody explodes!" I feel like the allies would make that really entertaining!

I'd say do all three of those rather than just one. Start with The Lab since that's a great introduction to VR. The robot repair was my favorite. Job Simulator was fun as well but doesn't offer as much variety as The Lab. I haven't tried the nVidia demo yet personally.

As a Vive owner, I recommend Job Simulator. The Lab is fantastic fun but Job Simulator is more of a hilarious toy-box and, more importantly, is extremely intuitive, so it's a great introduction.

I have to say, Elite is still the best VR experience Ive ever had. But i find it hard to recommend without the right flightsticks and throttles as well

The lab looks kinda boring (or relaxing). Maybe it goes nuts in the end, like Portal. VR Funhouse looks like it can be a lot of fun, for about fifteen minutes. Depending on the number of mini-games that are there. I really wonder how long it's going to take until there is a blockbuster VR game. (Okay, okay, Re7, well, we'll see)

A game that needs to go on the list that nobody's mentioned is Rec Room.

I second everything Steven said. I have not played all the games, but he is pretty on point. Nevertheless, I want to emphasize that Space Pirate Trainer is the most addicting "Roomscale VR" game I have played. Also the Star Wars experience Steve mentioned (Trials on Tatooine) is a nice teaser for future VR Star wars games (just seeing the Millennium Falcone land is worth it) + it is pretty short and for free. Additionally, I want to recommend "The Gallery Episode 1: Call of the Starseed" - it is a VR-adventure game (with pretty basic riddles) but their use/idea of a bag pack is imho mind blowing. Zombie Training Simulator is just a funny shooting gallery. The survival mode is nice, but Space Pirate Trainer delivers better on the "fight against waves of enemies itch".

Finally! I'd kill for a Vive myself and the thought of you having one that's just laying around collecting dust infuriates me. The games are very short and you'll probably want to give them all a spin. Install them all. The most fun is probably job simulator, but the lab has more variation and more immersive graphics and gives a better sense of what a real game would play like.

Here's a copy paste of a vr game recommendation email I wrote "Space Pirate Trainer.... VR's version of crack cocaine. we have regular office championships trying to best each otehrs high scores. Time slows down when bullets approach, giving you a chance to use your whole body to dodge. Basically makes you Neo from Matri. Super rad Vanishing realms is in early access but really cool, it's a dungeon crawler, gives me Zelda vibes. Tilt brush is a phenomenal experience, 3D art canvas. Budget Cuts is astounding, but sadly just a demo at the moment. Really looking forward to that game Job simulator is by the same peeps who did surgeon simulator, well made and funny. Brookhaven Experiment is pretty fun horror wave shooter. The Lab is Valve's effort, very high quality free demo stuff designed toease people into VR, absolutely worth a run through. Lots of trademark valve humor. I think the Portal robot assembly demo used to debut the vive back in GDC 2015 is on steam now Windlands is a tricky recommendation. It's incredible but is also the only Vive game I've played that's made me feel nauseous sometimes. Its to do with the navigation system, creates instant vestibular disconnect which can throw off some people's balance if they aren't expecting it (stuff like that is why we created the blink navigation system). That aside, when its going well its like riding an awesome roller coaster, definitely one of the games i always throw people into when demoing to see their reaction. Plus, closes thing we have to a spider man simulator right now Audioshield is insanely fun. You'll look like an idiot, but you wont regret it. Its kinda like Audiosurf, you can put in any piece of music or stream from soundcloud or what have you, and the levels are created from the beats. Such a blast, adn quite the work out Raw Data is crazy ambitious. Tower defense horde shooter with cyber version of Jedi powers basically. And its coop now, which is kinda insane There are official Disney and Star Wars experiences out, but I find them lacking, basically just demos to sell the potential of what's coming. Funnily enough, the cheap knock off Lightblade VR is insanely fun. As rough as the game is, its the closest I've felt to being a Jedi and deflecting blaster fire. Hard as balls too I must admit that initially I hated motion gaming. Found the wii extremely disappointing and the Kinect borderline insulting (although ironically the Kinect is a fantastic dev tool now, we actually use it for body scans and experiments). That being Said, Fruit Ninja was good casual fun on that, and is even better in VR Elite Dangerous is still the best VR experience I've had. But i can only recommend it with the full setup of the throttles and flight stick to match the game. plus its a real slow burn. But holy shit is it easy to get lost in that game Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is great in VR, a natural fit for group streams and hilarious antics. I recommend printing out the manuals to play with if you stream this. Funhaus did a vid of it which was really funny"

You should NOT do Funhouse. There are so many other great VR games to try. Vanishing Realms, Space Pirate Trainer, Raw Data, Budget Cuts, The Brookhaven Experiment, or Audioshield are just a few of the ones you should try.

Lab operates as a good intro to VR though. But again, it's pretty brief series of demos to show the potential of the platform

Vr fun house is about 20 minutes of content. More a graphical stress test for systems. Of the 3 Job Sim has the most meat. But I LOVE the lab.
