Review - I am Setsuna

Our 20th review and Brad's second comes with this beautiful little JRPG that really feels like a spiritual successor to Chrono Trigger. I've put a bit of time into the intro and personally I appreciate having a JRPG that isn't some 100 hour monster. Looking forward to playing more.

Great review; amazing how much of the somberness comes through immediately with the music/presentation...

This is a great informative review; thanks Brad !

That was a great review

Spot on review. I loved the game despite all its faults.

Great review. I can't wait till this goes on sale on Steam.

I have to disagree with money thing, unless you want to carefully look at all your junk/salable items, getting money takes no time at all, I do agree with the rest of the review though, great game.

ooooh nooo, you didn't know about the quick way to sell materials? You just sell them in that other screen and just sell all of them, it works the same. Also there were too many AOE attacks in the game, I really wanted more crazy one target skills and never found any, at least ones for bosses that do a lot of damage. Also that bat boss was horrible.

Now with English / Spanish subtitles

I disagree with the story praise. I think the character motivation to join the party is badly done, the character development feels shoehorned (particularly Nidr's vision), and the ending has zero payout. I really think the story is very bad.

Great review Brad! And awesome VO as always Jones. Now about the game... I just recently finished FF6 for the first time a couple of days ago. Loved it. Still craving some more JRPG goodness though and this might just be the next in line. Thanks for the review EZA. Love & Respect.

This review makes me want to buy the game just from hearing the piano!

I've not played a JRPG game in quite some time. I was on the fence about this one but this review has finally convinced me to buy and play I am Setsuna. I've been in the mood for an old school JRPG game recently and there have been no JRPGs released in the the past few years that have really interested me. This story seems quite intriguing and it's good that the characters have likable personalities which is a big factor in my enjoyment of an RPG. I'm gonna buy the game this week, get it downloaded, and set aside several hours over the weekend to get into it.

Great review Brad, keep it up! :)

Another great interview Brad, nice job.
