Tabletop Escapades - Episode 16
Added 2016-07-20 18:41:33 +0000 UTC
Hi Allies! It's Tabletop time again. Episode 16 is definitely one of the most ambitious episodes of the series. We tried a whole bunch of things that we haven't done before. Hopefully, you enjoy where things ended up. Regardless, this is definitely the start of a new "arc" for Tabletop. I'm excited to see where things go.

The moment law roles a 8 and you drop your forehead on the table staring on the ground and wonder how he can survive this mess. Ben, you did a remarkable job with this episode! As always, I cannot wait until the next escapade!

Alright, this has gone long enough. I am a big fan of this show (and the previous one at GT), and I stopped watching at Ep. 4 because of just how busy I've been, and I can't willy nilly jump into new episodes until I've watched the previous ones.
So right now, I'm gonna binge watch the season until I'm up to date.

The problem I see with Law winning is what he can possibly do next, even if he and the baron survive. He can't catch another ship and traveling by horse would take a lot of time and he needs to find one of course, also he doesn't know where the others are travelling to. So I still hope he wins but don't know what to expect after that.

I like the card game! In real life its not like the two players will have the same value cards like they had the same die, so it should work fine if you introduce some randomness into it (like say roll your d20 5 times and those 5 numbers become your 5 cards)

Here's a silly idea Mr. Moore,
Law dies, of course, but then gets resurrected by the nightingales in secret. Huber creates a new character and eventually the team starts to be tracked down by this unrelenting hit squad of nightingales who is now led by the husk that was once Law. Good mini-boss no?

On Inspiration Points:
I think how it goes would be Huber makes his roll, everyone sees what he got, but then BEFORE Ben says what the outcome of that roll is, Kyle could decide if he thinks that roll needs to be rerolled or not. At that point he could decide to give his inspiration.
This way you don't run into a situation where you give it beforehand and then the person rolls a 20 or something, thus definitely wasting their point.

Ben is way too leinient. This is going to be a difficult roll... 13.... you succeed.... that is not a hard roll ben. 15 is a hard roll. Because lets be real. Broken arm pushing plate armor soldier. That doesnt seem like a 13 roll to win to me...

Loved the episode and biting my nails on Law... on one side, I really want him to succeed. On the other hand, he's gotten away with SOOOO much and Ben has been extremely forgiving and Law had plenty of opportunities and denied them all. The split adventure format worked better when it was 2 players on each side... Wow, so torn on this. Anyways Ben, great job!

To me the card game Ben invented was pretty much a simplified Truco(<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truco" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truco</a> ) It's a card game thats VERY popular in my country. Its a lot of fun! You should try it out!

Mayhaps Huber's next character is a fisherman on a particular vessel?

Excellent episode. The card game first reminded me of liars dice but without the common pot. Can't wait till next week though after that cliffhanger.
