Easy Allies Reviews Now on Metacritic
Added 2016-12-02 21:05:15 +0000 UTCToday we're happy to announce that Easy Allies reviews are now featured on Metacritic. Since we recently finished the update on our reviews page, I got in touch, and after a quick phone call, they promptly started adding our reviews. I was surprised to find out that not only was it unnecessary to explain who we are, but the team at Metacritic already has a lot of respect for our work. It was really just about reaching out and making that connection. They also work closely with Game Rankings and are in the process of having our reviews added there as well.

2016-12-02 23:16:53 +0000 UTCSure, I've never been totally on board with how stars are converted to the 100 point scale, but what's interesting is if you look at the color coding Metacritic uses, it doesn't get into the red until below the 50 mark. So it still comes down more to how other people interpret those scores than how we or Metacritic does. -Bloodworth

2016-12-02 22:30:35 +0000 UTCHmm. The fact that a 3 stars, i.e. "decent" EZA review score translates to a 60/100 normalized metacritic score seems kind of harsh. I realize they just stubbornly calculate 20/100 for each star - but that does not scale adequately with the overall gist of the EZA ratings, imo. 60/100 definitly tends more towards "inferior" than "decent" ...

Not that EZA needs metacritic to legitimize its reviews because of the patron funding, but EZA deserves just as much recognition for its work as GT did, even if it is a smaller crew (I'm sure the time put in is just as intensive as the GT days, if not much more so).
