Brandon Plays Pokémon - Part 4

I'm going on a trip tomorrow and these videos have inspired me to give Pokemon Red a shot. Like Brandon, I've also never touched a Pokemon game before. I've loaded it up now and I called my rival Kyle ;)

I loved Brandon's reaction to the gambling, it was so viscerally hilarious. Anyone who has gambled in the first two generations of Pokemon know exactly hos Brandon felt.

Cup of Jones is an essential, but Brandon plays Pokemon is equally interesting. One hurls interesting information and the other hurls lots of entertaining interactions. The first time you did this show here you said it was quite long and that you would shorten it down. Now you almost doubled the duration of the length and you didn't even mention that it was too long. And I think many people are happy, including I. :)

I really enjoy all of the content that EZA produces, but this has been my favorite show so far. Takes me back to when a friend and I each got the game when we were 10 (I got Red, he got Blue) and both completed it together. Bringing back some wonderful memories.

Great episode as always, but this was even better than the rest! I was so into the Pokemon lore while watching this that I completely forgot about everything else.

Great episode, I kinda hope Kyle eventually decides to help Brandon with that other type of evolution he was hinting at.

You got to admire Game Freak for knowing this game would be a success. It would be so embarrassing for them to insert themselves into a flop of a game. Like N64's Mission Impossible, you can interact with the devs in that stinker of a game too.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite pieces of Internet. Nostalgic and funny (I had the same reaction Kyle did to Jones evolving Cleo), it reminds me of teaching my younger brother to play Pokemon with me. 5 Stars!

I think it's quite interesting how Brandon seems to think about some items or tactics more than actually trying to use them. Also I must say that I admire his patience for cleaning up all those boxes in Bill's PC, I remember thinking that it would be really nice to put them in order somehow but then I saw I already have more than 50 pokémons and nah, I don't need them to be in order. The rods left me a bit confused on my playthrough because I got the super rod before the good one, like is the good one better? But apparently that's pretty common, just taking a different path. And one more thing - I actually thought that there is only one Snorlax, I fought the first one, didn't catch him and then found the other one blocking another route and I just though it's the same Snorlax, that he just moved to take his nap someplace else. Great episode (as always), thank you so much!

Great video enjoyed that thanks made me laugh at one bit. One of my favourite Pokemon is bug. Hes green, kinda big and in a place Jones hasn't been yet so I'm not going to name it. I hope this kinda hard to catch Pokemon ends up on his team! Hes badass. Ash used to carry him.

Great Episode. I really enjoy the journey Jones is on right now and I think Kyle is a very good intervieuwer. I am a huge pokemon fan and now that I have a son I hope day he gets in Pokemon as well and we can have fun Pokemon battles and trade with eachother.

What a great episode. Love these. But Kyle, no patience for Magikarp? It's the one Pokémon I always bring to the Pokémon Day Care. Let it be raised to the desired level and then raise Magikarp by yourself with just one level.

38:00 There is a similar easter egg in a snes game called Terranigma (that game was never released in the US but in europe). You have to fight a hidden ghost and afterwards you can enter a building, which wasn't there before, and talk to all the developers.

I'm enjoying this show, it's a beautiful child of nostalgia and hype. So precious. Please don't hate on Grass-types though. They're not all flowers and status-effects. Solar Beam is pretty brutal, am I right? If you're going to pick on a type, pick on Fire-types or Bug-types. They're the real weaklings. :^P

What I love most about this show is how much Kyle loves this show.

Love everything about this series.... you can tell Bosman has to hold his tongue more than a few times each episode. Maybe this will push Brandon to purchasing Sun/Moon??

Another super awesome episode. This is probably my favorite show, aside from the podcasts. I'd love it if this show continued into Gen 2 when Brandon is done, though I realize it would be harder to pull off. Playing the remakes wouldn't be the same and the originals aren't on the e-shop.
