Added 2016-05-18 16:06:59 +0000 UTC
This week on Tabletop Escapades, our heroes finally reach town, giving them a chance to roleplay and uncover some crucial information. Additionally, quite a bit happens with Law this episode as he frantically tries to find a way to deal with his infected foot. I hope you all enjoy the shenanigans and I'll see you next week.

Huber, I'm not going to tell you what to do but let me tell you the story, no, the LEGEND of the one-legged Monk Dwarf. Some say he was once of normal dwarven heritage, a noble being of able mind and body. How he came to lose his leg is unknown, some say he lost it in a freak fermenting accident while making ale for his friends, others choose to believe he willingly donated it to a small muscular child. But what IS known and revered by all throughout the lands, is the legend of the LawKua. Some would call it an allegiance that was doomed, for how could one of stout nature such as a dwarf who's abilities in water are akin to a rock, unite himself to another who's very life requires frequent plunges to the depths? But these words were the ramblings of fools, for LawKua would prove to be unstoppable on the battle fields. It was on one such battlefield, after having achieved glorious victory that his fish beast ally found a nearby lake. On this particular dive they would come to find the most un-holiest and unusual of weapons, "Interrogator; the call of the Illuminated", an axe forged of obsidian steel, darker than the depths it was found within. It is said that the axe bound to our hero's foot on contact, and while children may take pleasure from such a simple explanation, the truth was perhaps less appealing. For you see the axe had a mind of its own, a mind of foul intention. It whispered its ideas into the mind of our hero, to find a master blacksmith and unite the axe to him, for the axe needed a host to seek out its bloodshed. It was this unholy union of dwarf to blade that forged the most feared dwarf/fishbeast of the lands. "LawKua's interrogation" as it came to be known was a rather harmless name for an otherwise devastating event. And while many honored and worshipped the tales of LawKua on the battlefields, it was the battle in his mind that was most worthy of honor. For each day he must fight the urge for bloodshed, the whispers of death seeping into his body from the foul blades. I can see you are questioning who wins this battle and how are we to know? Ahh the answer is simple my friend, if you awake and are alive to breathe then know that LawKua has won today for the Interrogator would surely have killed all us if he had not.

This episode was fantastic. Side note -- I don't think it would bother anyone if you guys had some little snacks laying around, as long as you're not talking with a mouthful. That way you don't need to get up and go rooting around for food.

Hi Ben, I really love Tabletop Escapades and I think you are doing an outstanding job as a DM.
I have a suggestion. In one of Ben’s Lore Corners you talked about how you prepare a lot of fun situations and background story before each session. As you said (and as we can read from you facial expressions) these do not always get experienced by the adventurers due to unpredictable circumstances. Is it perhaps an idea to write these untold stories down in a Ben’s Lore Corner as side stories or additional lore, so they don’t get lost? For example I would love to know what was up with the small island where the Fish-Man was, but because the adventurers decided to skip it, we never heard that story. L&R Henk.

So good. It's just so good. When you didn't have a wizard in TTA, I wanted you to have a wizard. Now you have a wizard in TTE and I wish you had a healer.

Ben, I loved how genuine your lore was about the Fishman. I really entered the world as you were explaining it, and I think the other guys were too, because they all just listened. Keep up the good work, this is definitely my favorite episode!
Your improvisations are impressive too. I've never played D&D, but it sounds like the Dungeon Master has a very stressful but rewarding job.

Years ago, I remember my brother-in-law kept trying to get me into D&D. After watching Tabletop Escapades, I feel SO FOOLISH for turning him down so many times! I've loved every minute of this show so far!
