Hello, would any of the Allies be willing to do a hidden gems segment in any of the shows or podcasts? Riptide GT was a fun game that I would never have played, but thanks to Kyle I got to enjoy thoroughly. Similarly from an episode of GT Plays "The Fall" was another game I would have missed out on if not for Ian's discussion on his play through. BRANDON! I'm so glad for this week's cup of Jones, I was in Disney World from the 13th-16th, was hoping to see you there but no lol. I know EXACTLY what you mean with the interactivity at Universal and the open spaces at both parks; Disney and Universal, and just kinda getting sucked into those worlds. My absolute favorite ride at Magic Kingdom is in Tomorrow Land, right across from Buzz LightYear's Astro Blasters , Stitches Great Escape (hope you went). I try to explain to everyone that it's like a game, you go in and start your "guard" training. The way that guard master talks to you welcoming you, showing you the types of aliens at the teleportation center culminating in capturing stitch and you going to the command room trying to contain Stitch with guns blasting, the dark room with Stitch going around and talking into your ear (mics built in to the seat), and him belching and you smelling the stench being blown to you from that same seat! Then for the first time I went to Animal kingdom and saw that HUGE tree of life, oh man I was blown away, took many pictures and then had like 10 parrots just fly by me getting ready for that parrot show right there. Going down to Africa and seeing the aesthetic there, its literally like going into another world, I felt like I was playing uncharted or something looking at all those buildings. I'm right there with ya, glad you had such a good time and viewed Disney the same way I did.

Have you ever considered an EZA bloopers reel for shows such as your own, the podcasts, Hubers show etc? It was an absolute delight becoming a patron and seeing a super secret bloopers video that was from your "why are we on Patreon" video, and perhaps it would be sweet to see a monthly video with a super cut across all the shows of these bloopers, with some cheesy comedy music in the background, I love the content you already put out and footage like that is something you already have, and would just be really funny for us to see how hard it really is talking in front of a camera or to a script, may even ensipre some others to do more stuff! Brandon, for the life of me I can't understand the appeal of ToyStory Mania. I've been to Disney World and Universal Studios 3 times now and there's always a huge line (usually more than 120 minutes) for this attraction, wich is, in my opinion, pretty lame. What is your favorite park in Orlando, Brandon? I really like both Harry Potter parks and the Magic Kingdom, but I think my favorite is Disney's Hollywood Studios, especially now with the whole new area for Star Wars.

I really enjoyed your editorial this week with your spider-web way of thinking about amusement parks being a center for all differing fields of art. This way of thinking reminds me of my own and I really enjoy listening to you explain your mind palace of thoughts and I love that this philosophy of thinking is so central to EZA. EZA isn't just about video games, it's about the whole culture of video games and art in general, I love that you guys have the freedom to talk and make videos about anything you feel like. Keep up the good work, everything you guys do are awesome! By the way, I do have a question for you...considering your love for theme parks and immersing yourself in a world, I was just wondering if you have ever cosplayed at a convention? If you have, what character did you dress up as or did you create your own character?

Do you have any idea if DI toy boxes are still being accepted for community content? Or has the whole studio already been 100% dissolved? I was working on a Hoth adventure for Chewbacca that I hoped to share.

While I totally get where you're coming from I personally think this is not only unnecessary (at least for the usual tiers) but also impossible. I have been working in the games industry for several years now and during that time I've met people/friends from studios all across Europe who were huge fans of Gametrailers. The day GT got shut down we were discussing it (not to say crying like babies) at work, on Facebook etc. and once EZA was announced several of these people - including me obviously - became patrons immediately, donating our own money for our own private enjoyment and well-being. I bet if you asked around you'd find patrons who work at EA, Ubisoft, Activision, we know Shuhei Yoshida is a supporter, the Naughty Dog guy you mentioned... every major studio would be "represented" here, because there are plenty of people in the industry who are not only passionate about video games but also about this bunch of weird, lovable dudes. I guess you'd end up showing a disclaimer at the beginning of every single review because person X from studio Y is paying 5 bucks a month to get his podcast two days early. Whoever claims that dropping 5, 10, 25 or whatever amount of monthly donation is gonna buy someone a better review score should either get his brain checked or stay away entirely. What happens if you actually ARE one of the top tier patrons, we already know: I think it was Brandon who mentioned in one of the podcasts that Scorn will never be reviewed by EZA because that would be kinda fishy. The necessary amount of transparency is already in place in my opinion and I assume if EA started paying 5.000 $ a month we'd be the first to know. Lastly, I apologize if this comment was all over the place, typing, editing and scrolling through this on the tablet is driving me nuts.

I thought that was incredibly classy and genuine to allow your wife to peek in - it's always nice to have a gander at behind the scenes of those we respect, so, was very nice to see the /Mrs's/ to the Mr. Jones - On another note, regarding Disney Infinity - DAAG Brandon! - I'm truly sorry they weren't open, this kind of infuriates me, I know this was probably the sole reason for the initial enthusiasm of heading to Disney for vaca - and for Infinity to be closed/under construction, is such a bummer! I feel your pain my friend, I truly do. What do you think about the UK getting a new Disneyland

Brandon, I am the second way with theme parks. I was in LA this last weekend and went with friends to universal studios to see the new Harry Potter land. (Sadly no Disney because they are heathens). I hadn't been to this universal studios and yet I navigated the park better than the locals because I am so used to going to Disney world and to a lesser extent the Florida version of universal studios. It was great to hear about your love of theme parks!

No you are not alone. I am a PC guy with no interest in consoles and also a game dev. I share your frustrations as well. GT had PC covered to an average extent but EZA is just so far off PC. I cannot help but smile whether they are correct or wrong when it is about PC, especially when "the Wozniak-slayer and the bringer of tets" comments on it (I love him). I believe Ian plays PC and knows weird Steam games that I love too. At the time of GT there were still things that I learn about PC games in general but EZA is more like a game related fix for me rather than gaming journalism. Likeable human beings discuss things that I can relate to. For example, I watch RDR stream knowing that I will never be able to play that game. On the other hand, the people at EZA miss great gems that could make Huber teary. So yeah I do not think a PC person can find what she is looking for here.

there's actually a very tight connection between disneyland and videogame design. Level designers famously are inspired by the way the layouts of parks are designed.

Loved your theme park rant :) Theme parks give us an opportunity to escape the mundane world and become part of something magical. But as some people in the comments have already mentioned, it is out of reach of many people due to the amount of money needed to travel to the most awesome ones. With the advent of AR and VR, do you think Disney, Universal and others might consider doing something like Pokemon Go and integrate "theme parks" into more cities worldwide???

Dude; me and my wife are from EU; i went to Disney Land in paris a few years ago and it sucks, it's just for small kids and the current movie (which whas the princess and the frog at that time). DOn't go there without small kids !. We want to go to Disney World in Florida; but damn; the cheapest we could find was 3 days (witha hotel) = 1200 $$ ... that would + airplane tickets == 800$$ .... and that would just be for 3 freaking days in the states; we need more than that.... whulp

I also was a little annoyed by kyles that aint right remark there is nothing quite like playing dark souls 3 on a good gaming comp and gsync monitor with a reshade preset, i tried playing my nephews ps4 dark souls and it doesnt compare. Kyles not really a pc guy so i took his comments with a grain of salt, guys like moore and huber seem to be more informed with the pc scene which i appreciate.

I really need you to read this, which is why I am posting it on both youtube and Patreon comments (can you please let us know which ones you read/focus on more?), but I hope you read this after your vacation coz it's a long frustrated feedback :) Let me ask my main question in the beginning in case you feel this post is too long and decide not to continue: Do you think there's enough incentive for PC gamers to support and follow EasyAllies? And if the answer is no, do you think this might change anytime in the future? Look, I really love you guys, and especially you Jones. I'm a 50$ Patron, and I would pay you guys more if I could, and I know it's really cheap and immature of me to state this but I just really didn't wanna sound like a guy who plays free games and complains about them. I will support you for as long and as much as I can, but I just ask you to feel my frustration here and give me your feedback. I have a problem with EasyAllies, I kinda always had it with GameTrailers but I feel it's getting worse with EasyAllies. I am an almost exclusive PC Gamer, and though I really love you guys I feel I keep getting disconnected from you more and more every day. Most of the games you guys stream are not even on PC, the games news you give the most spotlight are console games/companies that sometimes coincide to be on PC as well, and frankly I believe most of you guys know very little about PC games :) GameTrailers.com was my number one source for everything related to games, due to the polish, passion and quality your content had. Retrospectives were the biggest love of my life, and your reviews were held above any other opinion in my eyes. It was also the place I go to to check all the trailers due to the neat presentation and organization. After Defy though, with the reduction in staff, I felt the things I care about (PC Games) are getting edged out. It appeared to me that the only one who is actually playing and reviewing them with some sort of passion is Ben Moore, and he was so cluttered he couldn't give them nearly enough time and care. You guys even started missing reviews for big PC games like Civilization beyond earth rising tide and Heroes of might and magic 7. You didn't have any interviews from Blizzcon 2015. Your retrospectives were so good they made me care about games I never even heard about before, and I watched every single reto you made at least 10 times, but it also frustrated me to no end when the 2 incomplete GT Retrospectives were Blizzard games. But despite everything you guys remained my source for everything about games, I watched everything on your website and channels, I even downloaded every single review, Retro, and original show you made on an external hard drive so I can watch them anywhere and so I can keep them neatly archived and organized. I spent literal years downloading and organizing them into folders. I was devastated after what happened to you guys, and when EasyAllies was announced I was so pumped I immediately went to Patreon and pledged. Little by little though, I started getting a little disappointed. I was not interested in nearly all of your streams, which seems to be the bulk of your content now. PC games were still edged out from podcasts, and even when you guys brought them up like World of Warcraft, it really felt to me like you guys don't know much about the current state of the game and what's generally going on with the WoW comunity, Blizzard, and the MMORPG scene. When you mentioned Dawn of War 3 no one seemed to have any idea about the series. The killer blow that frustrated me to the point I had to vent it was the last podcast (May 11th). Kyle seemed genuinly surprised that big games are being announced and sold on PC! He thought the announcement of Civilization 6 was a weird thing, emphasizing that it is "PC exclusive", and that Stellaris selling more than Doom on Steam is some kind of an omen for "The rise of PC games"! I am not going to comment on that for the purpose of preserving my sanity, but I really hope you get what I see is wrong with this. He also said playing Dark Souls on PC "ain't right", and he said with conviction he thought the DLC for Beyond Earth made the game worse while the opposite was true by near universal decree, and no one even corrected him. This kind of thing makes me much more angrier than if you guys didn't talk about PC games at all. I can understand you guys wanting to talk only about the things you know and love, but I can't respect you giving serious opinions about things you don't know much about (I'm very sorry if this sounds condescending but this is truly how I feel, and I'm sure you'd agree you guys spend very little to no time with PC exclusive games anymore, barring Hearthstone :)). I know you guys will continue to do what you love, I'm not gonna make you change what you love. I also know I am the smallest of minorities within your fans, I might even be the only one! I dunnow what saying all this might do or change, but I felt the need to say it nonetheless. I guess I should have waited for the Tuesday announcements to see if there's something among them for me, but I just couldn't wait, sorry! I am excited for those announcements in any case. Hey Jones, one of the big things about EZA that you all emphasize and that I appreciate is the freedom it gives you - you report to us, to an extent, but it's very free form. With that in mind, do you see it developing beyond just (majority) video content e.g. when the new website launches? As examples, Ian's music is awesome as a bit of flavor for EaseUps, Ben's Lore Dumps add a lot of background to TTE, and Kyles little doodles are just awesome whenever he deigns to feature them in even the smallest of bits. Do you think or hope the structure of EZA (not beholden to ad revenue, pageviews, etc) will lead to broadening the horizons, or is video just so much of a comfort zone for this group to cover games and such that you think it'll always dominate the content?

Hey, I already left a comment on the previous episode, but something more important occurred to me. It's on the topic of integrity. Now that you guys are funded through Patreon, money is coming from a wide variety of sources. While watching Kyle, Blood, and Huber stream Uncharted 4 at Naughty Dog, the guy they were playing with (who worked on the game) mentioned that he's one of your patrons. I've been watching your stuff for years now and I trust you all to keep your opinions unbiased as, I'd imagine, does everyone who has been following you since the GT days. Nonetheless a conflict of interest, even a perceived one, damages the integrity of your reviews (afterall, people need to trust the critique they're reading/hearing for it to have any worth). With that in mind, I think it could be helpful for new and old viewers alike if EZA were to keep some kind of public list of developers and publishers who support your Patreon, whenever you're made aware of those donors. That would go a long way toward keeping things above board and away from any shady backdoors, seeing how transparency is important and Patreon is such a new and muddy water.
