We're Doing a Hearthstone Tournament!!!
Added 2016-05-10 21:02:46 +0000 UTCBen Moore and Michael Huber will be hosting a Hearthstone tournament on Friday (05/13/16) starting at 3:00 p.m. PST. Everyone is invited to participate and all skill levels are welcome.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
-In order to secure a spot in the tournament you MUST send three different decks (all different classes) to ben.moore AT easyallies DOT com before Thursday (05/12/16) 11:59 p.m. PST. A clear picture of every card in each deck is required. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS YOU WILL NOT BE IN THE TOURNAMENT NO EXCEPTIONS. -To take a screenshot in Hearthstone, just press the "print screen" key.
-We'll be using the Hearthstone spectating feature to watch matches. Because of this, you MUST also send your battle net ID to ben.moore AT easyallies DOT com. You will not be eligible without sending your bnet ID.
-The tournament will use the standard format. NO WILD DECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
-We'll be using conquest rules for the tournament, although there will be no banning of decks. The reason being is that banning takes more time and is more difficult to coordinate. For more information on what the conquest rules involve read this: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/hearthstone/Conquest
Failure to understand the rules will result in disqualification.
-The three decks you submit must be the decks you use throughout the tournament. No exceptions.
-The stream will be on a delay, but that's all we can really do to prevent stream sniping. I hope you're all good enough people to not cheat.
-Because it's difficult to know how long matches will take, you'll need to be on call most of Friday if you want to participate. I understand this will be difficult for some of you. If you don't think you can commit, do not enter the tournament.
-The bracket will be posted as early as possible Friday morning to give you a rough idea of when your first game will be.
-There is no prize money involved or any other reward. We're doing this to purely have fun with fans.
-I understand we have a lot of European fans who don't play on North American servers. Hopefully in the future we can do a European tournament.

I've seen other outlets set up dedicated servers for certain multiplayer games for their communities to play on at any given time. Perhaps this would be an option at some point down the road?
