I have never cared for pokemon - I just missed the boat I think. But this series is fantastic! I think you guys should consider finding other game series other allies have totally missed and get the same setup going, one after the other. Brandon Jones, did you know that Ekans backwards is Snake? I was so mind-blown when my friend told me this when I used to watch the show. I know your Ekans hasn't evolved yet, but when he does, his evolved form's name backwards is also pretty mind-blowing lol. Then there's a third Pokemon name that can be spelled backwards which happens to be a very perverted joke, especially when you consider the visual appearance of that Pokemon, but you haven't gotten that far yet, so I won't say anything.

I think I have to stop watching this series, otherwise I might end up playing Pokémon myself and I have so much other stuff to play now ;).

I love this show! It's so fun and interesting to watch. Brandon's genuine excitement for discovering things like new pokémon and new game mechanics, combined with Kyle's interest in what he has done and how he is feeling, is just such a great mix. Plus it's super easy to play along and compare your experience with Brandon's. About the name, I like it. It's simple and clear just as the concept of the show. Besides it is also very adoptable if you want to make it a series, just change the game and the player name (unless it's always Brandon who plays a new game). Then again, I don't care that much about the name. So do what you want, maybe it confuses some people with the twitch streams as that channel is "Easy Allies Plays". As one who plays along (don't know if I'm the only one) it's nice that you bring up how many hours he has played and how many badges he has, stuff like that. I also love that he has to name every Pokémon and that you say all the names, so fun to compare. Just a note about the map that he missed: there is a map on the north wall in most "normal houses" in every town that shows where you are.

"Brandon Plays Pokemon" sounds like it's a stream archive. I know it's not and it's on the main channel, but that's the format you guys use for the stream videos as well.

Hmm...might be fun to have Ben train people in Hearthstone then have a group tournament (Using Huber and Ben's accounts to build decks). Fun concept maybe? But overall, I love the Brandon plays pokemon concept. Its great getting a first impression from classic games from someone who didn't have the opportunity to play them.

This shows is extremely exciting and one of my weekly highlights now, between the banter, seeing the pure excitement and wonder in Mr Jones, and reliving the first of one of my all-time favourite series. I truly hope(but don't expect) you continue the series over time and lead him throughout the franchise. At the very least Gold and Silver.

I sense this idea could stem from more than just Pokemon. I'm sure many of the Allies have classic games they have never played. Expanding the show in something along the lines of "Digging for Gems" or a slightly Pokemon title of "Catching Up" would seem fitting.

I have to agree with a few of my Allies brethren (and sister-en?) and say "Late to the Party - Brandon Plays Pokémon" is the way to go. Then if this comes up again its immediately familiar to all who already experienced this before. (eg: "Late to the Party - Huber plays Chrono Trigger" or "Late to the Party - Ben plays Onimusha")

I don't have any creative name suggestions, just popping in to say I love the show and the concept. I'm not sure what other games you guys would be able to do this with (Ian hosting a Bloodborne show would be great, but I think you guys have all played it already). But just whatever you do, keep with this format, and thanks for an awesome show!

I want a name change. This show is unique and highly interesting. The name is to generic and doesn't convey what it is to new viewers. I want to spread the love that is Easy Allies! Name idea: Gotta catch em all with Brandon Jones. I don't know, regardless thanks for the show!

Late to the Party is a classic way to express that you're playing something old for the first time, but it's not very unique, if that's what you're looking for. It's still really good though. Other ideas: First Time Talks: Pokémon Red Version, Brandon Beats Pokémon. Blind Play Discussions: Pokémon Red, Pokétalk Red Version, Periodic Update: Pokémon Red, Completion Conversations: Pokémon Red --- I mean, I could sit here all day coming up with ideas, but there's quite a few already.

As some others have suggested, I like the idea of this show continuing after Jones is done with Pokemon and have another Ally play a classic game that they missed or haven't played before and are not overly familiar with.

Plainly, the only name for the show that could possibly be appropriate is: The Jones & Johnny Pokémon Power Hour.

For show length I say, the longer the better. I find the whole thing fascinating especially because I'm currently replaying Yellow on my 3DS at the moment. I'm a bit a ahead of Brandon so I'm worried he will overtake me :P As for the name, how about: Late to the Party - Pokemon It would leave it open to playing through similar older games with other members of the EZA team.

Thanks for these videos Kyle and Brandon. Never played a Pokemon game myself so I bought a DS lite yesterday with a Pokemon FireRed cardridge. Looking forward to see if my experiences match up to yours.

I like the name, I don't think it needs anything grander. I like the idea that you guys are comfortable creating a recurring show for a few weeks on a whim and hope it continues. Enjoying the show so far, for a suggestion I'd love if you guys have a post game discussion as well with regards to competitive battling, EV/IV training etc. It's not immediately apparent how in depth the pokemon competitive community is so it'd be cool to hear what Brandon thinks of that

I kind of like the name, because in being basic it isn't the obvious. If it does need to change however, I think it'd be cool if Brandon came up with the new name of the show as that reflects the appeal of the show, Pokemon viewed from someone who's just coming to understand it.

I highly support Brandon having a Season 2 of this with Pokemon Gold or Silver (his choice naturally) once he finishes this game. Would love to hear his comments on witnessing the improvements to the series and such as well as comparing it to the first game.

I love this show, It'd be cool to see something like this again once Brandon finishes - possibly with other games or people. Would it be too tacky to call the show Trainer Jones? was just the first thing that popped into my head.

I thought these episodes were going to be great, but they are even more fun to watch than that! I am certainly going to go through Pokémon again.

Kinda weird that this went publicly on Youtube for quite a while before sharing the post here on Patreon (I don't mind it going on Youtube publicly since it's not one of the Patreon exclusives goals, it's just odd that it wasn't shared on Patreon immediately too). Regardless, this show is *really* awesome. Probably my favourite from EZA at the moment. One piece of feedback; I really like how Kyle holds back with spoilers. There are clearly moments where Kyle knows something that Brandon doesn't. This is great because we can get an awesome and authentic reaction from Brandon for when the event occurs. So I *really* hope that Brandon doesn't look at the comments section for this Pokemon series to minimise the risk of spoilers. I really enjoy how free from spoilers his experience is.

FFVI would be a great idea. Also Dark Souls 1 could be very interesting. But I'd like Brandon to play Pokemon X/Y in contrast to the old games and then know his thoughts about it. (The best case scenario would of course be Brandon playing through the entire series, especially Gold and Silver.)
