Tabletop Escapades - Episode 15
Added 2016-07-13 19:18:09 +0000 UTC
Hello allies! It's that wonderful time of the week again. Those of you excited by the idea of the group leaving the town will hopefully enjoy this episode. The start of a new "shift" in the campaign happens here. As always, Law finds himself in a whole bunch of trouble, but in my opinion it's pretty entertaining seeing what he does to get out of it. The tone for the rest of the group is very different, but I think it serves as a good balance. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the episode and I look forward to seeing you next week.

A question I wanted to ask the previous episode already but I can ask it now aswell. If some player dies, is he (or she) excluded from the rest of the game or can they return as another character or something similar?
A good episode by the way, we know Law and I don't think many people will be surprised by this decision here, he looks to me, to be a "dwarven version of Boromir from Lord Of The Rings". Wanting to do good no matter the costs. I can only hope he survives, so good luck Law, get those orcs!

I love Law. If anyone can succeed against incredible odds, it's him. He's a monk from China!

Yeah I was really looking forward to Law when Huber told his story in the first episode... but he ended up being Hogger with a "good heart". Basically just mentally unstable and reckless like Hogger was. Still love everything Law has been through (The Grain fiasco and the Church debacle) but I kind of want to have these new characters evolve. Love & Respect

There is no Tabletop Escapades without Huber.

One arm, no armor, bad rolls.......RIP Law. I'm ready for Jones to replace Huber.

~ SPOILERS for those that haven't watched/listened yet ~
I seriously thought Law was going to be a different character for Huber. Not like the suicidal one man army that was Hogger... But alas, you can't fight nature. Farewell, Law. You had a lot of heart, but not a lot of brains.
Everyone else, so happy you got out alive. Bosman is my current MVP and thank goodness he kept carrying the gold, otherwise he would've had to leave it behind! :O

Classic DM troll:
Have a party of 4 level 3's who haven't had a battle in 10 episodes and throw 500 Orcs, two trolls and a bunch of flying wizards at them.

YES! YES! YES! Ben you are amazing. Thank you, this episode was amazing. The twist and turns and the plot thikkens. I loved the way you can describe the world and the actions around it. Very nice job! I am looking forward to Law's last stand and what that sneaky wizard is up to.

i love this show, i hope law dies though .i love his character, but it kinda makes sense, the odds are against him big time. It also adds some weight to story and the credibility of the villains. Somehow i see huber throw some mad 20's next ep, doing some batshit crazy stuff, like ploughing through the orcs single handedly haha

100% agree with this. My feelings for Law have been really harsh recently. But I love Huber and if Law dies and Huber comes up with a new character I wouldn't be surprise if we get another pure Huber character. However I think it will be the personality fits the character because I just don't think Law was the right character for this personality.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Ben! For moving the story out of this town. I watched last week episode then this week (by coincidence) and I couldn't take another random episode in this town. Sorry not trying to be negative but I think it was long overdue to move the story forward.
Also am I the only one who gets the feeling maybe Huber has a better idea for a character and kinda wants to be done with Law. Becuz even if he somehow makes it out of this fight alive what does Law do then? The others left him and are pretty mad at him right now. He doesn't even know where they went.

I thought of a term: Law-gic (Law logic). The motivation(s) for an action that can only be understood by Law. Ex: No one understood why Law would expect anyone to follow him into battle after an inconclusive trial, malnourished, wounded & with broken hands? To him, it is completely Law-gical.

I have never wanted any character in any podcast, movie, tv show, or game to die as much as I do for Law.

Ian, never leave TTE, you're too wonderful.

This was a hilarious episode as always. I have to say though, if Law survives this it's going to have to be very convincing or else it will feel cheap and he will just seem immortal. I find part of the fun is the real danger of character deaths and I don't want another Hogger situation where he can do whatever crazy thing he thinks of and still survive. I respect Huber/Law for sticking to how he feels his character should act but I wish he'd be a bit flexible and not turn it into a one man show. Maybe think of some way to justify from Law's perspective why he should be acting with the group instead of going off on his own shenanigans all the time. I love Law the character, don't get me wrong, but if a character does something stupid they should be punished for it, them's the rules of the game.
