Yeah i agree, they have been setting him up for multiple seasons so it would feel cheap and anti climatic to have him defeated on his first real battle with Shoto.

He loves to paint himself as βThe Demon Lordβ who wants to violate and ruin all with a smile on his face, what could possibly make him cry? Meanwhile the Second died with a smile on his face

It can also feel anticlimactic to have things drag out
