The purpose appears to be to break the system and impact what is visible and what is not. Topics trend that otherwise would not. Voices are quelled as they face a mob of synthetic ragers. It’s really easy to get disposable credit card numbers. One time use numbers and alternate accounts. At some point we will reach the time when you just cannot trust social media unless you know the person in question. It’s really depressing. Every time they create a method of verification, it is quickly and easily defeated. Unfortunately already the space has an disproportionate amount of influence into real world things, and I really fear the point where our entire lives are going to be manipulated by people and ideas that are artificially injected into the conversation. Hell, it is already happening but it’s only getting worse as the Internet really is able to amplify these kinds of messages. It always seems like the lie gets more amplification than the truth.
