2024-05-01 10:49:36 +0000 UTCI want to know if there has been a campaign to push for trigger warnings, that will inform the consumer of content or experiences that encroach on moderate to conservative values? Similar to the way D+ let's the viewer know that the content of antiquated views and stereotypes are no longer acceptable to the modern audience... Why not give the moderate to conservative valued audience a heads up that there is the possibility of encountering something disagreeable and allowing them the option decline? If then that could possibly bring the agenda driven choices to the forefront and not be a surprise... Again would like to know if an issue like this has been previously explored. Thank you.

Before we left, the nurse discreetly asked my PERMISSION before giving my daughter a Disney Princess sticker for bravery. I was stunned. At my expression, she said, "Since Disney has fallen out of favor with some, we always ask first." I never thought I'd ever see the day where a princess sticker was problematic. And these were classic animated princess stickers only. Now if a tenor Cinderella starts showing up at the parks... Seriously, Disney.

2024-04-30 23:33:31 +0000 UTCI see no problem with a woman playing Peter Pan... so long as she is the right body type. A bustful Peter would be a bizarre thing! The comments that Tinkerbell is played by a man are false and either bots or a campaign -- Tink on the zipline has a height requirement of 4'9"-5'0" and a weight of around 90 lbs with very little variation. Not many men can fit that.

There's no need to cause anguish to a cast member beyond reporting the news. It's something we take seriously. Even with this we disagree, being as kind as possible is important.

In this case, I'm not sure the actor's voice, height, nor other features are a good match. I worry the inclusion key made a way for someone to play a part outside the normal requirements.

2024-04-30 21:48:07 +0000 UTCI am kinda mixed on this issue. Talking specifically about the Evil Queen in an up close talking role - they need to stick with a female. The fact that you can tell at all is a problem - that alone breaks the magic. I think there are some villains where it wouldn’t bother me near as much. When the character is a non speaking character that is only seen at a distance, it should not matter at all unless there is a comparative height issue with other characters nearby (the Tinkerbell debate).

It not like they put in a different race or body size to be inclusive. Like a short fat (fill in the race) guy, who can’t pass as the evil queen period? And it wasn’t a burlesque evil queen. Trying to think critically on this issue. Thank you for your input and thoughts

2024-04-30 16:09:19 +0000 UTCI'm ok with men playing the part if they do it well, but the one in the clip you shared seemed like he would have been more appropriate for an adult venue rather than a Disney meet and greet. For this type of representation the only thing to show through should be the character not the individuals mannerisms (IMO).
