From LW Ghost for all of you to see and read:
Here's a WONDERFUL link to a study of Saul Bass's titles for Around The World. I actually saw the film as a kid with my dad at the REAL "Carthay Circle Theater" and they made a special curtain of the titles images/cartoons sewn in gold thread into a red stage curtain. I heard later that curtain wound up in Debbie Reynolds' memorabilia collection that she was going to open a museum of in Vegas but not sure what happened to it.
ANYHOW, it was amazing! Sadly, when National General theaters bought the Carthay Circle they tore it down and built an amazingly UGLY HQ building for themselves on the site. Such is Life.

As for me, I'm contemplating the loss of so much beauty in our art and entertainment beyond just the Carthay. I think there's a real danger in devaluing beauty. It might even be a sign of our devaluing of the Divine.
Look up.
