Disney Implodes -- Total Abandonment of Lawsuits Against Florida
Added 2024-03-27 14:46:28 +0000 UTCHow many of you heard from so-called "experts" that Disney would absolutely win their lawsuit against Florida? How many of you heard that Disney was doing the obvious, 100% correct step of fighting Florida over DEI initiatives and state-sponsored curriculum aimed at bedroom issues for small children? Well... those who told you Disney was on the right-side-of-history are now stuck being on the opposite side of Disney. You see, Bob Iger's House of Mouse has agreed to settle with Florida and it's all in Florida's favor.
"Disney agreed to drop its lawsuits against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in a major win for the new board overseeing the land encompassing Walt Disney World Resorts.
The settlement agreement on Wednesday includes Disney acknowledging eleventh hour deals it made with the outgoing Reedy Creek Improvement District are now null and void.
Walt Disney Co. made these last-ditch efforts in an attempt to solidify property rights and grant the theme park additional powers as DeSantis appointed a new board to oversee the area and hold the corporation accountable to laws and taxes in Orlando."

Disney has now agreed to give up on all their claims and they have accepted to admit they pull some shady shenanigans at the last minute. The rat new it was cornered and there was no chance of cheese.
Perhaps most damaging of all to Disney, the public failure lands just ahead of the proxy vote results next week.
Not only is this the trillion dollar damage result we talked about happening to Disney due to their elimination of so many government perks in Florida over the next century... but it is also just the beginning. Disney is now under investigation for so many different potential legal issues in the state; and the company now has zero objections to the Sunshine State on any docket. Whether or not Disney got a friendly wink from Florida that they will not pulverize them into swiss cheese is unknown. For Bob Iger's sake, shareholders had better hope so.
If you followed Legal Mindset, Valliant Renegade, That Park Place and myself... you knew this was coming. If you followed 90% of the other Disney blog and vloggers, you never saw it coming.

I bet money, they dropped this because they realize if they pursue this discovery would show something even more damaging. I seen the Oh F me tactic before when client realizes they screwed up even worse than the other side realizes. Florida is probably wondering what Disney is hiding.
