Updates on me and the next videos

Hey everyone,

Hope you’re doing well. Just wanted to give a few updates about myself and the channel and what my plan is for the next few videos. The next project is very far along, it is an important one for me on the history of mental institutions and how that history is related to horror. Pretty much from their inception the public perception of mental hospitals and mental health in general has been tied to prominent works in the horror genre, so it is about that and also why I think it shouldn’t be done anymore or at least done in a different way. I think it is a great script and I am really proud of it already. It’s about forty pages so expect a fairly longer one there.

The problem here is that unfortunately for part of this year I have been dealing with a medical thing that exhausts me and makes it difficult to talk for more than a few minutes at a time and has made my voice weaker when it is flaring up, and for the past month it has been particularly bad. I’m pretty confident that in the next week or so it should get well enough to where I can at least record the audio for this. The script has been effectively finished for almost a week now but I haven’t recorded it because of this issue. I have all the footage collected that I need though so I really hope it isn’t too much longer because as soon as the audio is recorded I think it will be an easy edit because everything else is done.

In the meantime I have started writing work on the next few videos, and two of those scripts are almost finished. Now that I have a lot of things in my personal life settled I am able to be a lot more productive and will be on a much more regular schedule with my work and I’m very excited about these upcoming ones. I’m pretty frustrated with how slow progress has been with videos the first half of this year, I really don’t like to go long periods without posting one, but I really am now in a place where I will be able to do more than I have been recently, and I really do want to thank you for sticking there with me.

After this next video, I am doing a shorter one on the movie Nothing But Trouble which should be a lot of fun because there was a lot of chaos surrounding that production. Then I am doing a longform video critique of the video game Alan Wake, and then after that I’m going to do my franchise video on Texas Chainsaw. All three of these are projects that I’ve wanted to do for a while now so I’m very excited to finally get to work on them.

Below are the thumbnails for these, I hope you like them. The Alan Wake one isn’t finished yet though so I didn’t include it here because I’m still working to try and figure that one out. Anyways, thanks again so much for your patience with this. It really does mean a great deal to me. I look forward to sharing that video on here with you soon once I get it finished up.
