There's nothing else I'm going to be able to say about this film that hasn't already been said, but I'm glad I was able to throw the music into the discussion that I keep seeing online
Having said that, I still can't believe that they just copy and pasted Yoda's theme
That still doesn't make any sense
Who thought that was a good idea? Seriously!?
Ok, that, and I feel like the music is just such a great demonstration of where the writing failed.
Like yes, we could've had two themes for Ben Solo/Kylo Ren that would've not only accurately described these two characters, but actually have associative elements that tied them into the larger fabric of the Star Wars universe.
I just don't think they gave Williams enough time or enough of a heads up to really let him plan it out
Ah well, in the mean time, I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that they release all the music that Williams wrote that didn't make it into the final film
