Hi Kasmin, thank you. Iโve seen other artists like Cesar Santos fix his charcoal when using it on canvas, but Iโve never had issues with it darkening or making my oil paint much different. All things are always needed to be taken in context; for example, if you have a dark section you previously drew in charcoal and you attempt to paint a bright white over top, it will turn a cool grey color.

2022-10-19 16:05:57 +0000 UTCThanks Jan, such a different scenario for me when I'm in the studio alone vs. filming. Often times I wouldn't blink an eye at the level of painting in this session. Normally it is all part of the process, though when I feel I should have something to say or to offer as a solution to a problem, that is where it gets complicated. I appreciate the feedback, all is well! We'll keep learning together! :)
