Hello DMNs! It's Christmas Eve, and we've got a podcast for you to listen to while you wrap presents, drink yourself into a stupor, pretend to be listening to your family, or go about your regular routine. You do you! There's no wrong answer. Tell us what you're doing while you listen, we get immense pleasure out of hearing how the podcast fits into your life.
This is our final release of the year! We're taking next week off to spend time with our families and recharging our batteries. We hope y'all are able to get some R&R too. Thank you so much for being with us this year! 2021 was one of our very biggest years, and we're honored by and grateful for your support. We're looking onward and upward in 2022 and we can't wait to share what we've got in store: the release of Weird Wastelands, the development of our next book, new releases, new side projects, and more.
Here are some time stamps for ya!
21:23 - Billy Lamberti: how do you think your perspective about the hobby has changed since you started this, and since when COVID began?
29:10 - Gray L.: any suggestions on how to make the Feywild more like the zone in Tarkovsky's Stalker or the Shimmer in Annihilation?
37:54 - Bobby Swanson: Jim has mentioned he wants to run a campaign inspired by Norse cultures in the past - I would love to hear some of his ideas for a Viking D&D campaign!
44:42 - Ben: I have a story arc coming up I could use some help on - one of my players wants to have two characters clash at some point, and eventually merge into one greater being kind of deal. Once merged, only one can survive though! What to do!?
50:52 - Adcon: how to be an asshole without actually being an asshole
59:51 - Ickbard: how have you all dealt with scenarios where one or more players use playing D&D as therapy, or have characters that take on personal flaws the player has (whether the player realizes it or not)? Has it caused issues in previous campaigns?
Happy holidays, y'all! See you in 2022!
