Several of y'all have asked me about a reading list for where I get some of my inspiration. I read a lot of D&D blogs (mostly Old School Renaissance) and I thought I share some of my favorites*
DMDavid - David has a lot of good practical tips of overcoming common problems DMs face. I don't always agree with his analysis of why players like X feature of the game, but he's an enlightening read.
Tribality - I just started keeping up with Tribality, but it's a solid blog with excellent 5e analysis and inspiration.
World Builder Blog - this is James Introcaso's blog and while the posts are short and not as frequent as I'd like, they always leave me thinking.

Playing D&D with Pornstars (occasionally NSFW) - Zak's blog is my go-to for inspiration and gameable ideas. When I'm feeling tapped out creatively, I spend a few hours going over old posts. It's poorly organized so I recommend using the index he has linked near the top of his page.

Monsters & Manuals - Solidly OSR, Noism's blog is home to his Yoon-Suin campaign as well as inspirational posts over a range of gaming topics.
Jeff's Gameblog - Another OSR blog, Jeff R's blog is a mish-mash of actual play reports, ideas for your home game, and thoughts on rpg-related topics. We've used his 20 Questions for your Campaign as an example of setting prep that's useful for play.

Hack & Slash - Mostly OSR, some 5e. Courtney's blog is probably the most content rich of all the blogs I regularly read. Next to Zak's blog, Hack & Slash is my go-to inspiration source. The index is invaluable here.

Dyson's Dodecahedron - if you're looking for maps of all sorts, this is the place to go. Dyson uploads 2-3 maps per week and many of them are published under the Creative Commons license.

Hill Cantons - this mostly OSR blog hasn't been updated in nearly a year, but the backlog of posts is excellent and full of practical tips for any game. I also highly recommend any of the books that the Hydra Cooperative publish.
The Dungeon Dozen - break out that d12 because this blog is almost 100% d12 tables for all your gaming needs. Scroll down halfway on the left hand side for a link to a fan index.
