Crafted from the formidable scales of a red dragon, these bracers pulsate with intense, scorching energy, their essence infused by the very blood of the crimson beast. When you clench your fist, an inferno brews, eager to erupt. While attuned to these bracers, you gain resistance to fire damage and remain unaffected by their searing might.
By using a bonus action and speaking the bracers' command word, you ignite their latent power. For 1 minute, the bracers' scales blaze intensely, adding an extra 1d4 fire damage to your melee attacks and emitting a 20-foot radius aura of searing heat that instantly evaporates any exposed water within its reach. The bracers can be activated once per day, regaining this ability every day at dawn.
For as long as they remain active, each time you successfully land a melee attack for the first time in a turn, the bracers gain a charge.
1st Charge. The extra fire damage intensifies to 1d6.
2nd Charge. The extra fire damage intensifies to 1d8.
3rd Charge. The bracers instantly erupt in a furious blaze, dealing 6d6 fire damage to all creatures within the aura. A successful DC 15 Dexterity save reduces this damage by half.
After this fiery maelstrom, the aura dissipates, and the bracers revert to a dormant state.
Cooldown. If your turn ends without you successfully striking with a melee attack, the bracers lose a charge of their escalating power.
Losing all charges leads to the bracers powering down and reverting to a dormant state.
