Usage worn bracers; Bulk L
Crafted from the formidable scales of a red dragon, these bracers pulsate with intense, scorching energy, their essence infused by the very blood of the crimson beast. When you clench your fist, an inferno brews, eager to erupt. While wearing these bracers, you gain resistance 10 to fire and remain unaffected by their searing might.
When you activate these bracers you ignite their latent power. For 1 minute, the bracers' scales blaze intensely, adding an extra 1d8 fire damage to your melee attacks and emitting a 20-foot radius aura of searing heat that instantly evaporates any exposed water within its reach.
For as long as they remain active, each time you successfully land a melee attack for the first time in a turn, the bracers gain a charge.
1st Charge. All creatures starting their turn in the heat aura must attempt a DC 43 Fortitude save.
Critical Success: The creature stands firm, suffering no effect.
Success: The creature endures the heat, but becomes flat-footed.
Failure: The creature is flat-footed and takes 1d10 persistent fire damage for as long as it stays within the aura.
Critical Failure: The creature is flat-footed and takes 2d10 persistent fire damage for as long as it stays within the aura.
2nd Charge. The bonus fire damage increases to 1d10. Additionally, creatures that fail the DC 43 Fortitude save also become Fatigued while inside the aura. If critically fails the creature's speed is halved.
3rd Charge. A third successful melee attack fully charges the bracers, enhancing the bonus fire damage to 2d6. Creatures failing the DC 43 Fortitude save now also are Slowed 2 while within the heat aura. If critically fails the creature becomes Paralyzed.
Overcharge. Landing a melee blow when the bracers are at full charge causes them to erupt in a furious blaze, dealing 6d6 fire damage to all creatures within the aura. A successful DC 43 Reflex save reduces this damage by half.
After this fiery maelstrom, the aura dissipates, and the bracers revert to a dormant state.
Cooldown. If your turn ends without you successfully striking with a melee attack, the bracers lose a charge. Losing all 3 charges leads to the bracers powering down and reverting to a dormant state.
