Outlands Demo 0.1

I just realized I never actually posted this on here! This game has been downloadable from my Discord server but I didn't make it available to those that aren't in the server.  (FYI for those who have already downloaded, this is the same build and nothing new!)

In this early build is a quick level showcasing the climbing portion of Tikal's ability to navigate the world. There will be more features to come like wall running and more. It also showcases the first slice of combat. The game is supposed to be a little unforgiving, so you may have to take a few shots at killing the creature before you're successful. Using an Xbox controller is highly recommended. But keyboards still work too. PS4 controllers SHOULD work. 

Also note that this demo is highly jank. Not only was all of this made before the vast majority of the Vacuulus demo was coded/created, but just in general it doesn't have near the polish. So please just try to have fun and don't judge too harshly!

Controls are located on the game startup screen.

Extra tips:

-Press A to dodge incoming enemy attacks, any hits on Tikal will be nullified during a dodge 

-If falling, you can hold the dodge button right before hitting the ground, you will do a skillroll and nullify any fall damage 

-You can jump by pressing Y to get across long distances, and you can jump while climbing to jump off the wall and use your height from the ground to your advantage

 -You can do a jump attack by pressing jump (y) and heavy attack (rt) at the same time! 

-Heavy attack(rt) is very slow and high risk, but very high damage 

-Press Y to climb on climbable surfaces, you can combine it with a jump to climb even higher!

Bugs/Known issues:  

 -Being knocked down sometimes still allows player control or sometimes the animation doesn't play 

-dodging while targeted sometimes sends tikal much further than intended 

-tikal freezes if the failed skillroll animation comes too fast after a dodge or jump 

-animations sometimes get behind

-sometimes climbing breaks and you get stuck

camera control = Arrow keys

movement = WASD

lock on target = Tab

dodge/skillroll = Left Control 

light attack = Q 

heavy attack = E 

jump = Space
