So cool that the little Gord workers have environment suits too!

The technology of how the Gord suits work is beyond me, but yes some form of artificial muscle would likely be used.
Yes, if the All-mother wasn’t a thing, the Gord would be a very real threat that we would eventually face.
You summarised the dynamic between the Gherra and the Gord perfectly.
The Conglomerate were on track to assimilate Humanity anyway so they would absolutely use their colonies as a forward operational base against the Gord if they attacked.
The prequel about the FWW won’t be a comic, it will be an illustrated novel with a lot of art work. I like how much faster progress can be made with the combination of prose and illustrations.
I really like all of what you wrote there and I think you’re absolutely correct, the UE would have an absolute advantage.
No that’s alright, it’s not a problem at all. However It would be easier for me to read and reply if you wrote each question as a single comment, saves all the scrolling and losing my place haha

Interesting, how do you think the Gord's suits work? Do they have some sort of artificial muscles? I remember you saying that the Kolaxans would have to make it through Conglomerate territory in order to attack humanity, but what about the Gord? We don't know what their policy when it came to finding other races was and they must have found some looking at the size of their empire before the Singularity and the rise of the All-Mother. They kept around the Gherra but that was probably because the Gordian weed could awaken their psionic abilities and so the Gord kept them in hopes of using their psionic abilities or studying that in general. Not to mention the Gherra might have been an interstellar faction and would have taken up resources to destroy when the Gord needed to focus on the Conglomerate, so they gave them the Gordian weed and turned them into a puppet/vassal state. With that in mind, what would happen if there was a war between the Gord and Conglomerate and humanity was caught in the crossfire? Earth and its colonies likely would have been used as a base to attack the Gord even if humanity wasn't made loyal to the Conglomerate. Under these conditions the Gord likely would have destroyed humanity, Earth and its colonies. What do you think? Also you mentioned that you were in the planning stages for a comic set just before the Singularity that would follow characters at that time. I have been thinking about what the Final World War would have been like. With the UEs massive advantage in Artificial Intelligence it could employ it in a number of different ways. They could maybe use AIs to monitor sensors and use their extremely good pattern recognition and processing abilities to easily find minute indications of craft, soldiers or other assets that are using stealth technology. Unmodified and unassisted humans would have a much harder time finding those patterns and with the UE being good at AI they would always be one step ahead of the other nations as they frantically try to find ways to keep their stealth technology undetectable. With UE soldiers having BMIs Ais like this and others would be literally attached to their nervous systems, able to point out enemy assets using cameras or the soldiers own vision. Add to this easy communications and networking, downloading of needed information such as battlefield tactics or martial art styles and allowing augmentations to the nervous system and the body in general, and the UE's superior BMI technology and experience would make fighting them a nightmare. BMIs may also be made resistant to hacking through the use of fast-thinking AIs and jamming through using a variety of different communication mediums. Though the UEs enemies likely would have foresaw having to face BMI equipped soldiers and so may have poured money into developing better jamming and hacking systems and ways to disable BMIs in general, so they wouldn't be completely unprepared. One out-of-box thing the UE could do is use their extensive knowledge of neuroscience, psychology and the human mind and body in general from their BMI/cybernetic programs to their advantage. This could give them an edge in memetic warfare or even the brainwashing of individuals for use as agents in their enemies or predicting what enemies may do. Imagine UE brainwashed sleeper agents in every nation that had their brain structure altered and then had the hardware removed so they appear normal. When the UE wants to cause some chaos, they can feed the agents information in some way and have them attack and sabotage their enemies from within, as well as collecting intelligence. Such things would generate much paranoia, infighting and distrust within the UEs enemies, with people not trusting anyone who they suspect could be a sleeper agent. The neuroscientists outside the UE would then have to focus on finding ways to detect these sleeper agents and the UE would begin altering the methods they use when making new agents to prevent them from being found out. What do you think? Sorry this was very long and we have been talking a lot. I hope that isn't a problem.
