But with that mini flashback of sorts done, we’ll soon be off to see the new ship and I have a really detailed cross section planned for its grand reveal.

Potentially, it’s an interesting idea. It could be like a suicide thing where they go berserk. But I think the reason why it wouldn’t be feasible for mass produced non Over-father units is that it takes an enormous amount of Psionic focus to maintain control that high mutational state or even to use it in the way that Uthipidus does, the All-mother wants to keep the number of psionically adept units to a minimum to reduce the risk of rebellion and to maintain control. Uthipidus is a rare case because he was stuck in a state of limbo during the ascension process. Yeah I don’t see why not, I like the idea of Psionic node bearing familiars. We will indeed, later this volume in fact. Haha that’s a funny idea, regular clones really are just biological robots though, there’s really not much in the way of personality there I’m afraid. 2025-10-23 06:04:36 +0000 UTCDo you think the kind of shapeshifting that Uthipidus uses could be used by the All-Mother to make her forces more powerful? Even if the instability problem was an issue, it could still be used. For example, Over-Father or other powerful Imperiumform armor and weapons could be made from shapeshifting biological matter that can be controlled by the user via psychic abilities or other means. Once these pieces of technology begin to become more unstable, they can be recycled and new ones can be produced. Could Imperium psychics also have Imperium-made creatures that can assist them and act as a sort of mini-psionic emitter like those the All-Mother puts in every new star system but miniaturized and meant for Over-Father's or any other psychics she may produce. They could use them to increase the range of their psychic waves to cover a larger distance and maybe use them to scout, sort of like people's idea of familiars from folklore. Also, will we see the insides of Imperium ships other than the Kraken and the Locust dropship? What are the interiors of normal Imperium ships typically like? I think you mentioned a while back that the average Imperium soldiers live in small pods in which they eat, sleep, exercise, etc. I'm just imagining some Imperium soldier doing a workout while watching one of those workout guide videos or whatever they are on a screen in the pod.
